Tiger Woods needs competition - badly. Muhammed Ali was great not just because he was the best boxer of all time, but he fought Joe Frazier in three unforgettable bouts. Jack Nicklaus was hounded by Trevino, Floyd, Player, Hale Irwin, almost always in tough matches. Now, Tiger Woods simply outdistances his opponents, makes the impossible shots, and in the background Ken Venturi says 'he should just take his par and go quietly'. Yeah Ken, well right now Tiger's taking home about 50 million per year and the other guys are 'taking their pars and going quietly'.

I really hope that someone can take up the challenge with Tiger Woods, which will more firmly place him in golf history. But I don't know of anyone else who can hit a 249 yd 2 iron to an uphill green, over water and sand, and stop the ball within 4 feet of the hole. Not Nicklaus, not Trevino, not Jones, not Byron Nelson, not Floyd, not Irwin, not Duvall, not Garcia, not Els, NOT NOBODY.

What an amazing golfer!!

The Tiger man has some serious game, but what the hell with everyone else choking all the time.

Guys that shoot 3,4,5 under par per day thru Sat - none of them can even break par on Sunday. That is just choking.

If Bob May went toe to toe with Tiger then the rest of these guys should at least be able to make it interesting, but they continue to fold.

They posted a line last night of -125 for Tiger vs. the field. With Tiger that close and the leader being Azinger who had been off for 6 weeks, my eyes just about popped out. I was debating back and forth to play it huge or not and in the end I just went with 1 unit, but what a joke of a final round.

Mickleson and Duval - these guys have mad game and need to sack up and pull out a Major.

Until then Tiger will continue to slap everyone around.

The initials, PGA, should now be used as a request to Tiger from the remaining field ...

(Please) (Give) us (A) chance.

Jack Nicklaus handing down "The Torch" to Tiger Woods. Tiger smiles at Jack and says,

"Gimme' that friggin' thing."

"Right now, I'd say he's probably the most dominant athlete in the history of sports," said Paul Azinger. "It's incredible. I don't know if the general public appreciates it. They probably do, but if they don't, they should."

I got a question for Azinger.

"Hey Azinger, what was Tiger when he won four consecutive majors? What was Tiger when he won last year's open by 15 shots?

I think Azinger spends too much time wondering what the general public "should" be thinking.
