why do you hate Duke ? Because they win. Dont hate them . Play them. Thats how you make money and stop being a hater.

After the Maryland game I can just hear Coach K in the visiting locker room addressing his team ----
OK you seniors played like crap to start with!
I am ashamed and embarressed of this team and the way we played out there. What is this high school basketball ?
You guys are not focused on the right things here. If I cant count on you here , how will I count on you when the next game is on the line ? Can anyone tell me that ?
And NCAA tournament time is around the corner.
IF WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT PAST THE FIRST ROUND THAT IS !
NOT IF WE PLAY AWAY GAMES LIKE TONIGHT WE ARE NOT ! IN THE TOURNAMENT THERE ARE NO HOME GAMES ! WILL YOU BE READY THEN ? ( slams down his notepad!)
And to say nothing that you got to go back and look all the Duke students in the face come Monday morning.
You know the ones that sit up in the stands and paint their bodies blue for you guys. For the team they do it . GO LOOK THEM IN THE FACE !
There is a proud tradition here at Duke to be lived up to.
That tradition will not be defined by this team if we allow teams to outplay us like we did tonight IN EVERY PHASE OF THE GAME !. Our defense was pathetic! How many turnovers did we have ?
DAMN IT ! Coach K slams door and walks out yelling .....
AND THERE WONT BE ANY DESERT SERVED FOR A WEEK IN THE CAFERTERIA SO DONT YOU GUYS EVEN LOOK AT IT .
In ten minutes the door opens again , Coach K comes back in.
OK then this game is over guys. Lets huddle up. Look I know we had a bad game tonight but we got a even more important one coming up this Thursday at Wake Forest. I dont have to tell you guys that they are in our Division and if we cant beat teams like this then we will not be rated where we need to be for the NCAA tournament. So my question to you men is ....
What are you going to do come thursday night in Wake Forest ?
We are going to beat them Coach K, we are going to beat them bad.

yeah , and it does'nt hurt that coach K has the best talent to work with every year either does it?
he is a good recruiter and players like to play on winners . Nothing wrong with that.
