Are you guys on crack! i thought it was pretty interesting. give it a chance. i like some of the rules in this game, like the way the payroll is setup, great camera work, sexy cheerleaders, matt vasqersion, enthusiastic crowd, nicknames on back of jerseys(he hate me). yea its got a little hoopla but i loved it. give it a try

They have to change the camera angles. Shooting the game from the offensive backfeild sucks. You can't tell how many yards they pick up on a play. I would like it alot better if they changed that one thing. Also I'm in agreement that they they have way too many interviews. Did you see that idiot running behind the players out on the field? That was ridiculous. Another thing I didn't like was the way they introduced the stating offenses, I wanted to watch the players play the game not interviews before the opening offensive series. But the worst thing had to be the camera angles.

The Outhouse to the Penthouse!
It seems to me that the "GAME" itself can work. The rule changes add to the excitement and action. And hell, ya can't beat sitting by the fireplace drinking a beer and watching FOOTBALL in Feb.

It's the whole "PRODUCTION" that sux.

They are trying to cater to the tatooed and body pierced "I got an ATTITUDE and what are you gonna do about it!?" crowd. Enough with the interviews of screaming drunks in the crowd huh? And I never thought you could get worse player intros than Monday Night football.......guess I was wrong.

Hopefully, they'll sort out some of that other garbage as they progress. I think the game can work when they finally get the camera angles right and Jesse Ventura finally shuts up.

I liked it......was weird seeing Jesse talking more like *the body* instead of *the brain* again, tho.......LOL

as far as all the weird stuff, hoopla, and interviews........i'd like to think that wouldn't happen quite as much in future games, especially future seasons, if it goes over.

but ya gotta figure, it was it's *Premier*, the Super Bowl has all that hoopla, because it's special, and opening night for these guys was special, too......guess we'll just have to wait and see if it tones down as things go on, and it's realized as *just another type of game*.

FLetch, For one thing it was a bad game to watch - dominance on one side usually does that. (not to mention how ugly NY played). However, if you watch the whole tape they send you to the second game. Far fewer frills. I think this showed the potential of the league. It will be interesting to see the way the other channels display the games. Saturday night catered to the young and uninformed, let's see what they do for the Sunday crowd.

Vince McMahon's target audience, in his own words, are the 'Three Stooges go Behind the Green Door for a Chainsaw Massacre' crowd. Pulleeze!! This bastardized version of a great American sport made me puke, repeatedly, and I only watched one quarter.

I been here so dam long may have seen more F B then most. See what age does to you. Not sure what half that chit was about. But the basic game was still there. Some nice plays some good hits. Some of the other junk they could clean up some. The no fair catch rule looks like a good one. The extra point rule makes it harder but should count 2. The stick mike in players face every 2 or 3 mins. That seems to cheepen the game some. But what the heck do I know. What we have one dog, one fav, one over, one under. With two more games today.

i think this would be a cool idea....so they don't wanna *kick* an extra point....give some fun options.....

from the 2 - 1 pt. for the conversion
from the 5 - 2 pts.
from the 10 - 3 pts.
from the 25 - 5 pts.

it would add some excitement to really mess up a game score wise, when you could tie it or win going for more points.
