I am so sick and tired of hearing their myopic fans claiming that they are better than Oklahoma or Miami, when I hear that crap it makes me want to puke. If OSU was in the BIG 12 or SEC they would have at least two losses this year. The good thing is that if Miami and Oklahoma win out they will go to the title game no matter what OSU does, Buckeye fans will cry about it, but they will have played a weaker schedule then Miami or Oklahoma due to the fact that the Big 10 is no longer a top 2 confernce. The Buckeyes have played every key game at home and have struggled on the road. I was listening to a sports talk show out of Columbus and the callers were roasting miami for struggling with Rutgers, how soon Buckeye fans forget about Cincinnati and NW road struggles.

I agree with you, OSU is not a team for championship, if that's happends will be a big blowout!! they are nothing out of home, and something like and avg good team at home!

boneinthehouse, your venting because your a OSU fan that knows deep down that its true. No reason to get mad about it.

KSYAS

Yeah Wisconsin was on the road, starting QB played one series and the Buckeyes were far from impressive against a team that should of lost outright at home to Northern ILL if the Huskies had not been cheated.

grid, I wouldn't consider myself a die hard fan. I like it when a good coach does well at Ohio State. But what I really like is to find pertinent info. With that said I woun't waste anyone elses time with this. GL Bone

QB Update

QB Update

Quarterback update: Tiller said freshman quarterback Brandon Kirsch, who chipped a bone in his throwing hand during an off-the-field altercation on Oct. 27, is questionable for Saturday after being fitted with a new brace on Monday. Tiller said he will watch both Kirsch and Kyle Orton -- whom Kirsch displaced as the starter two games ago -- in practice the next two days and may not announce a starter until just before game time. "I was pleased with the way Kyle practiced last week," Tiller said. "We're pretty comfortable with the way he fits in the game plan right now

i like kirsch also...not the great pure passer, but ,he reminds me(in style)of zach mills...a leader type who can move the chains and defenses probably have to keep a spy on....keeps defenses honest...he is gonna be good if he keeps the gus frerotte stuff to a minimum...

If you like OSU...lay the pts.

If you like OSU...lay the pts.

Purdue when they are the Underdog with a spread of 8 or less.
Purdue was 2-14-0 SU and 3-12-1 ATS in these games.

Gridiron---Did you know the potential Heiseman
candidate Clarett (RB) was out of two of the three AWAY Ohio St. games...he did play vs northwestern
but had two fumbles after the Buckeyes had executed long drives (this thing happens to all freshman at any level in any sport)Clarett felt bad (about the fumbles) but the Bucks found a way to win that game...
if clarett plays the Bucks have the ability to play against anyone in any conference at any time...Okla may have as good (or better defense) than the Bucks...but they DON'T have Clarett..
he's an NFL player in two years...even though he's just a freshman..he;s that good!...so , if you evaluate the VALUE of betting on Ohio St... you have to evaluate whether or not Clarett is going to play..or not play..... i'm not trying to be an OSU fan ...i'm just trying to be real w/ you!

good luck, crib

I agree, it would be cool to see OSU lose to Purdue, because Iowa is a super team this year and deserves to win the Big 10. That being said, I envision Purdue struggling against a very superior Buckeye defense and not able to put up more than 13 points in this one. I see the game being close at halftime, and much like last week vs. Minny, OSU D will wear down Boilers and win by 14+. 3 UNITS OSU -5 1/2:nono:

Theres no one disputing that Clarett is a solid back, but against what solid defense has he played against this year and had a solid game? Washington State was minus two starting linebackers when they played OSU, and that is probably the best defense Clarett has faced this year. I have no doubts that Clarett will be a star in the NFL, but comparing OSU defense vs Oklahoma D is ludacris, especially with the current situation OSU finds itself in with secondary problems due to injuries. Tressel is a solid coach, but saying OSU could play with Miami or Oklahoma is a farce due to the weak competition that the buckeyes have faced this year. The big Ten has been in a steady decline for the past 5 years and when I listen to these Columbus talk shows and hear comments like the Big Ten is down because of the competition within the confernce it makes me laugh.

Big Ten vs Big 12 (neutraul fields)

1. OKL vs OSU, Okie would be the favorite
2. Texas vs Iowa, personally I feel Iowa is the best Big ten team, but I would give a slight edge to Texas.
3. Kansas St vs Mich, Navarre is not very impressive, I would think KSU's speed would be the difference.
4. Col vs Minn. Col would beat up Minn
5. Penn State vs Iowa State flip a coin
6. Nebrask vs Purdue, Huskers win easily here
7. Texas Tech vs ILL, Tech wins this game by 14 or more
8. Texas AM ve Wisc, Ugly game would say AM due to Wisc injuries
9.OK ST vs Mich State, Okie State wins
10.Mizzou vs Ind, Mizzou
11. Kans or Bay vs NW, would have to pick NW

So thats 9-2 matchup wins for Big 12,

It gets uglier if you do this for Big 10 vs SEC or Pac 10

SEC
Geo-OSU, flip a coin
Iowa-Bama, Bama wins
FLA-Mich, Better all around team FLA win
LSU-Minn- LSU
Aub-PSU-PSU
ARK-Pur-ARK
Tenn-ILL-Tenn
Kentucky-Wisc-Kentucky
South Car-Mich St-Scar
Miss-Ind-Ole Miss
Miss St-NW-Miss State

9-1-1 SEC

PAC 10
WSU-OSU, OSU but thats questionable on a neutraul field
SO CAL-Iowa-Would be a heck of a game, going with USC
ASU-Mich- Mich couldnt keep up with Devils scoring
Oreg-Minn-rout for Oreg
UCLA-PSU-flip a coin
Oreg St-Pur-OSU wins
Cal -ILL, Cal easy
Wash-Wisc-Wash wins
Stanford-MSU-in MSU current state Stanford wins
Zona-Ind-Zona wins

Pac 10 8-1-1

The only conference Big 10 would have a decisive advantage over are MAC, Sunbelt, Mountain West, Conf USA, WAC. Its pretty close vs Big East and ACC could go either way.

and I'm not so sure the MAC doesn't have the edge over the Big 12 in recent years. Maybe the OSU win AT Cincy wasn't so shabby as Cincy put a woopin on the team that beat FSU. I'm not that big of an OSU fan, I just like the info to be a help, not tainted because someone doesn't like the team or conference. The bottom line is OSU is undefeated and has found a way to win though adversity. I think speaks volumes for a team. I'm looking for a good game with the boilermakers with the bucks covering the number. GL Bone

Hey..gridiron...i appreciate the time you spent trying to prove your point...you seem to have some football instincts..I was in Florida dfor the Flor.St vs Miami game ..i don't know why you think Miami is so great...a missed FG away from getting beat my a marginal (compared to past teams) seminole team...I think if you are going to chirp against the Bucks..stay w/ your Okla. thoughts...
i'm not that sold on the strength of the three bis Florida powers this year...they are relying too much on past success...I just feel if there is ever a year for the Bucks to possibly slide in the back-door for the National Championship...this is the year....the cards seem to all be falling right...good luck this week on your picks grid

Actually, Clarett was in for the Wiscy game until he, again, got injured. Also, his fumbles were not after the Buckeyes executed long drives. The first came with 10:58 left in the 1st Q on the second play of a drive that started on their own 37. The second fumble came with 9:43 remaining in the 1st Q, on the second play of a drive that started on their own 3. After this, he was benched in favor of Lydell Ross and was seen on camera yelling at his position coach and also literally crying on the sidelines. Then, in the 4th Q, at their own 48, he fumbled again.

I admire your loyalty to Ohio State as I am twice as loyal to Michigan, but 1 player does not make a team! Do yo really think that he is that much better than Lydell Ross? If that's the case, then Ohio State must not be worth a damn without Maurice. I wonder what Michael Jenkins or Matt Whilhelm or Michael Doss or Gamble or Tressel would have to say to that.

I work in Clarett's hometown of Warren, OH and I live about 30 miles from there. In fact, I'm a personal friend of one of his HS asst. coaches. The talk of Clarett at the beginning of the season was high....since his ESPN article, it's been "f*ck him....big head...ego....and so forth. Check the link at the end of my post for his HS football picture and tell me that he doesn't have an inflated ego. Word around here is that he likes to "go skiing in July" (if ya know what I mean)....and remember, I hear these things in the heart of "Buckeye Country", and especially in the heart of "Tressel Country." Well, at least you agree that he's not ready for the NFL right now.

all i can say ohio st has beaten every team on the schedule and it really seems to piss u guys off. o well. purdue will not win this game today so make sure the canes and oklahoma keep up. if this team loses to michigan id really be suprised. michigan has an overrated defense and the special teams play is comparable to a high school team. sorry jsmooth but i just hope michigan pumps minnesota!!!!!!!! i did take them against a shitty minnesota team. clarrett or no clarrett ohio st wins 11-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thefinger :) :thefinger
