England, u.k.
Before the commencement of this tournament I said that in all day / night games played at Newlands in Cape Town, back the side who bats first to win.

So far there has been two day / night games played and the results are two wins to the side batting first.

West Indies @ 9/4, and England @ a general 6/4, although Pinnacle had England at 17/10.

I hope you all helped yourself to those winners.

Congrats on the info BB! :D

One small point, and I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but was the 6/4 England still available once the toss ( + therefore the decision as to who bats first) had been made??

I'm interested as pretty much every book I use suspends betting prior to the toss + revises prices. If there's any that don't I want to know ;) !

Even so a winner is a winner - keep it up!

Hoss that is a good question.

I have found that quite a number of books that alter the line once the toss has been made. As you are probably aware from in running betting via sky most if not all do.

West Indies were cut from 9/4 to 15/8 with both bet365 and Stan James, England went to 5/4.

As you are probably aware the toss is made 15 minutes before schedule start time. Usually Cricinfo have the decision up within 2 minutes, before sky show the viewers the toss taking place. It does not always happen, especially if the site is slow. You can take advantage of this.

Also, I have found that Hills, Ladbrokes and Corals are slow to adjust prices. Pick a game that your not much interested in betting. Note prices 30 minutes before start time on oddschecker. After sky have announced the toss and who's batting and who's not, go via the links to the above three and Paddy Power. There are a few more but after two or three goes you will quickly find out who does what.

I hope this helps and your point is a very valid one.

England were around 5/4 after the toss. The majority of bookmakers suspended the betting as BB has pointed out the toss can have a huge bearing on the game, particulary in one day cricket.
