According to one Vegas site, 85% of ML bets and 63% of ATS bets were on the Giants, which means Vegas got CRUSHED yesterday. I just can't believe this. I thought Vegas never loses??? For the record, I did not bet on the Pats. I had a very very small bet on the Giants +12 and was kicking myself for not betting the house on this one. I got scared because way too many bettors were on the Giants. I thought I would end up seeing bad calls go against the Giants and that the Pats would surely win this game but the refs did a pretty good job calling this game. So I guess that means Vegas doesn't fix big games. Now I'm more confused than ever. I guess that theory of 'going against the public' can be tossed out the window? Just when I thought I had Vegas figured out I find myself back to square one.

Maybe they don't clean up on EVERY game, but I thought for sure they clean up on all BIG games. The Superbowl is by far the biggest game of the year. I figure all the money they made during the regular season couldn't make up for the beating they took yesterday. And according to vegasinsider, 57% were on the over, so they didn't make that much on the o/u. I am surprised they didn't pay off a few refs or something to at least ensure a NE straight up win. Vegas must be hating the Giants right now....:mj07:

I guess I can't argue with the numbers. Seems so strange though. I assumed Pats would have been more popular - or at least that the bets would be fairly even by the end.
