I try to find the game where a team is home from the west coast and playing a team with 2 days rest. I like Detroit. There is something about finally getting home. The body really relaxes and it is easy to be lethargic. Like when you get home from the beach for a week with the family, it takes a day to adjust. I have no numbers for support, just like the spot!!!!! lol

I agree with you completely. I have used this as my favorite "trend" play. Tonight I have the Pistons +6.
I call this the 'Johnny Theory'....away on long road trip....get home to...."johnny needs braces", "Johnny got detention for..."....granted money for the braces is not the issue, but you all know how it is when you are trying to concentrate on something (like winning) and you get distracted with such things. Additionally as you mention, it does take a day to adjust to the 'at home' routine. Not exactly sound handicapping theory but it seems to hit more often then not.

Thank you.I have this felling about Houston playing better on the second night of back to back nights.I looked it up today, and the #'s are there. Houston has won 2 of the last 3 @ Portland/If you give them 7pts on the second night they cover 17 of the last 20, home and away. They are 7-6 (SU) on the road the second night.I may be crazy but ,last year on 12/8/00 they lost to SAC, 111-98 & on12/9/00 they beat SEATT 111-104.I love HOU+7!!!
I actually like taking a home team with one day rest playing a road team on their second consecutive non-rest day preferably towards the end of their road trip.
Copy,I agree with you 95% of the time, but if you look at HOU,the first night vs the 2nd of back to backs over the last 20 games ,they for what ever reason play better on the 2nd night.Maybe it's a coahing thing, when they get down, they save it for the 2nd night?
