-290 vs gary wilcox...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmw3QYa9eoM

looks like he`s got some skill....and wilcox retired in 2002 and again after 2 fights in 2005...he`s had 1 fight since returning...

he`s 37...he retired as a cruiser and is now 30-40 pounds heavier...

not much power as a cruiser...so i doubt he`ll be a banger at heavy...

aguilera hasn`t fought any real competition, but, just from watching that short clip,he`s no clown...

it is in wilcox`s hometown,so thats a concern(even though both are based in n.y).......that really dampened my enthusiasm...

stil worth a "small" parlay,imo...

Go for it!!!!

I got Nagy in a big outright play and a medium parlay play for -200. Nagy is a good prospect and he keeps improving.

Truth be told I tried to get my friend on the card to fight Wilcox after I asked around about him. The guy I talked to said two fights ago Wilcox and his opponent were in one of the worst fights he ever saw. He said Wilcox right now is a D+ level HW, due to his age and he really isn't a HW anyhow.

If it is close, and they do go to the cards, they will give it to Nagy. It doesn't matter that Wilcox is in his "home turf", the promoter isn't going to use that angle. It benefits everyone across the board if Nagy wins and keeps going.

Also, Nagy spars a lot with Zuri Lawrence. Not that Zuri is A+ material, but it shows that he always has a decent sparring partner, if anything else.

I'd be suprised to see this one go the distance and I'd be shocked if Wilcox won the fight. This is going to be a showcase fight, or what they want it to be, for Nagy as an up and coming prospect.

armageto....when i watched the clip i was surprised at nagy`s combination punching....

so many heavyweights today throw one punch and hold or are just flat out sloppy...

this guy was impressive jabbing, going to the body...throwing hooks and obviously he a has a decent, straight right hand.....

and for a 6`3" guy,he was on his toes quite a bit(granted it was the 1st round and who knows what happens in i longer fight...

but, just from watching those short tapes,it`s apparent the guy isn`t some yahoo who doesn`t know his way around in there...

thanks for responding,bud...

fvck....that was way to hard....nagy threw hardly any jabs....he was very tentative...

i thought those scores were way to wide...

i thought aguilera did just enough, but i was worried about the hometown decision...

I thought Nagy could have looked better, but I honestly scored it 78-74, with two of the judges. For where he's at in his career, I think it's a good win. I thought Wilcox just didn't throw many punches with good meaning. Nagy pressed the action for the most part. I thought Atlas's scorecards were way off on both fights tonight. I had Mcgirt winning 7-3 in rounds, plus he had two knockdowns. Maybe Teddy wanted fans to be tense at the scorecards and stay tuned?
