Not DIG or DUG, or they few other biggies out there...something different.

Everyone I looked at was basically at their 52 wk high.

Thanks

lawnmaker know of three energy etfs in the US that trade good volume

VDE (vanguard energy etf) good etf and cheap fees, (all US companies thoug)
127.07 high 132.73 88.43 low .74% yield

OIH (These are the service companies/drillers) .38% yield 211.98 high 221.15 low 146.63

XLE similar to VDE though slightly higher fees, all US companies
86.91 high 91.42 low 62.73

you can also invest in countries that have resource based economies, though not a pure play often follow the resource prices.

most of these etfs should be near their highs, if not then it is a terrible etf.... as most energy stocks have had a great first half.

thanks

Personally, I don't think right now is the time to be buying these funds.

IF (a big IF) we are in an energy bubble, you have a lot of risk. What is your estimated gains for getting in energy.

I'm not saying this is the top, but there is a reason why every energy ETF is at their 52 week high.

What is the probably of getting the first part of "buy low/sell high" correct at this time?

Just some random thoughts...

As to an actual answer to your question, I don't have any good suggestions. :)

I agree they are at their 52 week high, but Congress will do nothing to improve supply until next Feb at the earliest.

With summer coming up, I see oil to continue to set records....oh along with gas.
