I need a new TV

Hey..just moved into new house

Cant decide what TV to get

Do I get HDTV? If yes do I get widescreen TV?

I watch a lot of movies and sports

Comcast has all has sixer and flyer games in HDTV

Do I go with projection? I hate losing the picture on the side of the TV

Right now I am eyeing up a 32" Flat Sony HDTV Widescreen for $2000

Not sure if willing to spend that much though....I would love a plasma, but way too high $$$

Thoughts??????

I havent bought one for a long time last one I bought was a Mitshubishi. Still going strong 7 years later.

Just talked to my daughter who works in the field, her dream TV is a 65 " projection Mitshubishi.

She says it is awesome.

plasma's are nice, but way over priced IMHO

Why not put $4000 on the Yankees today. That plus your $2000 will get you a bitching Plasma TV.

I really like the 35 inch Mitshubishi.

Sony KV36FS76 36" WEGA Widescreen, sells in europe less than
2000 euros, looks good and is big enough, very good and sharp
picture and has enough contrast to watch in daylight.

Problem with projection tv:s is that they are not sharp with picture and are lacking contrast and you must look it from straight
ahead to get good picture.

And about plasma tv:s, if you watch a lot of same channel, channels logo ( that small logo in some corner ) might "burn"
to the picture.....
