I absolutely stunk up the joint yesterday and for the last week for that matter. Nice to go in a batting slump in just the 2nd week of the season. Oh well, long season and it is streaky. Time to start streaking in the right direction though.

Year to Date 38 - 43

Season Bank + $369

Yesterday 3-7:nono: -$275

Week #1 + $843 (25-22)

Week#2 - $474 (13-21)

Friday, April 11th

Mets vs. Expos
Not really sure why this is a home game for Montreal or why they even shipped this team to play 20 plus home games there. Does anyone realize New York is closer to Puerto Rico than Montreal is.
I know its gonna be interesting to expand baseball as there are truly great players all over the world. With that said, this game should be fun to watch as it is a small stadium and doesn't hold that many people. I've been told the ball travels well there, but don't know how much until I see it. As for the game itself I'm not quite sure why the Expos are favored. I guess they bat last, but is there really a home field here? Not yet anyway. Expos bats beat up the Cubs yesterday where the Mets lost a heartbrache to the fighting fish. I think the veteran is the guy you want on the mound here in a new environment. Especially coming off his recent performance. As for history:
CONE is 2-1 when starting against MONTREAL with an ERA of 2.70 and a WHIP of 0.700. Since 1997
OHKA is 0-4 when starting against NY METS with an ERA of 5.85 and a WHIP of 1.608.
His team's record is 0-6 (-7.2 units) in these starts.

Recommended Play METS +102

Cincinatti vs. Philadelphia
The oddsmakers are starting to catch up to games at the new ballpark in Cinncy. It is the Enron and Coors Field of 2003. The ball is traveling and games are high scoring so far. Obviously though (not yesterday at Coors:mad: ) some of these games go under as well. Both these pitchers have pitched well in each of their starts so far this year. Myers pitched 6 innings and didnt give up an earned run and Wilson pitched 7 innings and only gave up one earned. Heres an interesting stat as well, in the last 3 years, 5 of 6 games have gone under in games played at cinncy. I know its a new park and all, but we'll take our chances with the under. With the exception of the Phillies hitting Maddux, neither team has put up a lot of runs lately.

Recommended Play UNDER 10 +100

St. Louis vs. Houston
This game seems almost to good to be true. But then you throw in the fact that the St. Louis bullpen is beat up after their trip to Coors and they lost Lance Painter and Klein is throwing bowling balls to batters. That's the only reason that is stoping me from playing a double or triple play on this game. Matt Morris is a great pitcher on the tier below Unit, Pedro, Schilling, Brown (when healthy) and has pitched great this year. He's thrown 15 innings and struck out 14 batters allowing 5 earned runs. All Moehler did in his start was give up 5 earned runs in 5 innings but didn't get the decision in a 6-5 win against these Cardinals. But I LOVE when a team gets to see a pitcher again in a short time span. St. Louis did hit him already, while Houston has yet to see Morris this year.
MORRIS is 6-5 when starting against HOUSTON with an ERA of 3.33 and a WHIP of 1.390.
MOEHLER is 2-0 when starting against ST LOUIS with an ERA of 4.29 and a WHIP of 1.429

Recommended Play ST. LOUIS -125

Parlay of UNIT AND PEDRO
JOHNSON is 8-0 when starting against MILWAUKEE with an ERA of 1.73 and a WHIP of 0.872
MARTINEZ is 7-1 when starting against BALTIMORE with an ERA of 2.05 and a WHIP of 0.768

Rcommended Play PARLAY JOHNSON-400/PEDRO -400

White Sox vs. Detroit
Well, I'm done committing myself to the Tigers like I have the last 2 games thinking that they would get a win. I don't think they have another shot to win until Maroth goes again IMO. Both Loiaza and Bernero both looked good in their opening starts each giving up 2 earned runs in 7 innings. Even though the Tigers have seen Loiaza in the last week it shouldn't matter much. They just don't have the offense to hit him. The White Sox have too much offense and are playing good ball now and the bats are heating up.
LOAIZA is 7-2 when starting against DETROIT with an ERA of 2.67 and a WHIP of 1.217
BERNERO is 1-2 when starting against CHI WHITE SOX with an ERA of 6.16 and a WHIP of 1.211

Recommended Play WHITE SOX -1.5 -120

Short card for me today as I am in a slump. Want to play Seattle against the worthless Chan Ho, but Seattle bats are ice cold and Park would probably come up and bite me somehow if i did.

Weird how there isn't one nice priced dog tomorrow (i.e. +150) with any value in it that I see.
