On the course!
How depressing the mall is now days. Here we are, two weeks before Christmas, and the mall is a ghost town.

I was bored, and just wanted to window shop for a few things, and I picked the lovely up a couple of things. The majority of people I saw were "mall walkers", getting in their exercise. The anchor stores had a couple dozen people in them, but the side stores were vacant, or almost empty. About a third of the stores were shuttered up. (Including the Sears and JC Penney stores.)

I just find it hard to believe that Walmart can crush the competition like that! Walmart is wall to wall all year 'round.

Noon on a Thursday ? Remember most people work...Go to the mall after 6pm weekdays or on the weekend and you can be sure it will be PACKED. Its Walmart but Amazon too...

Noon on Thursday, and Walmart is packed to the gills.

I know....I know......THOSE PEOPLE don't work.

Also, 1/3 of the stores wouldn't be closed for business if the mall was ever "packed".

I think most people shop online now. Take away online, the malls are packed.

I'm sure there is a lot to that theory. I order a ton on line, too. Still, I would rather walk around Kohl's and take a gander at things. Feel the material, etc.

I ordered a few golf shirts online for $9 each, and they normally go for $50-70. (I don't care if it's a two year old model. Never been about that!)

The reason...Walmart is always packed is because you can get life's essentials not just clothes, toys or electronics.

Go to the grocery store its always packed.

Online for 90 % for me. Things showing up for the last week and pretty much into next 2 weeks. Fun times. Only 2 items out of 29 I bought online did I have to pay for shipping. :0074

Malls are definitely in decline but part of has to do with the fact that you are in WI. No offense meant, I would actually love to move up that way, or out west- but in our neck of the woods, with significant growth and industry, our mall was booming the other night when I had to go.

Exactly. I can read reviews and compare products then order and it will be here in 2 days what's not to like!
