I was talking to some fellow gamblers when one said that he was a member at Mad Jacks just like me. He ask me why I do it. He said something like "You are suppose to be a pro not an amateur." I left out the F words.
Why do I do it ?
Here is why.
My overall winning Percent for all sports all games for NHL, NBA, NCAAB and early baseball this go round is 55%. Plus 19.35 units since October 1st or 2nd. Not really anything to get excited about. On the other hand, the $100 gambler if she/he trailed all of my picks he/she would be up +$1935. Me, I am in the "dime" a game category. Betters like me are up + $19,350. That really is disappointing to me but I will certainly take it. That's about an additional income of almost $40,000. (My finance guy is always telling me to diversify.) Again, nothing to get excited about except that it is always there and every year it is there for anyone who comes to this Forum. All this is for free. Some years it 54% and some years it is 60% and some years anywhere in between but on average it is a whole lot better then begging restaurants for food on Charles St in Boston in the late 60s early 70s with my"band members." I digressed. $40k. Who can not like that except there are other guys, many other guys at this Forum that could earn a trailer the same $40K and more for free. What a great asset this Forum is to it's members and the 100s of in not 1000s of viewers who come here for winning picks for free, even. What a country. What a forum. My complements to this entire Forum. Even to those that will never like me.
