june 12-15 to see my sorry ass Mets play the O's what restaurants should I eat at. Of course I'll have to have some md. crab. Mj, you don't look like you've missed too many meals can you help me out? And if you plan on being in the area I'd love to hook up. My only problem is I'll be with my friend and his two 9 year olds so libations will have to be limitted to restaurants and the ballgame.

Scrubbo,

Since you will be at Camden Yards, you might as well stroll over to Little Italy. But dont get sucked into eating at Sabatino's cuz its the most over-rated restaurant in the area. If you go to Little Italy, then eat at Luigi Petti's or maybe even Buccaccio's (not sure about the spelling).
Both have great food..... 100 times better than anywhere else.

If you really want crabs, I could tell you of one place that has pretty good crabs. You might have to pay around $40 a dozen for good sized crabs though. They arent cheap this summer.

I moved from BAL 12 years ago and can't be much help with the crabs anymore. I could probably drive to the places but to give directions......forget it. there's a place called tim-buc-to (sp?) off dorsey rd that has great crab cakes......huge and nothing but lump meat.

KotysDad- I still like Sab's. Always have, always will. they have the best salad dressing ever made....garlic bread too. That's all i get when i visit. and the marguaritas, of course

O'Breckies (sp?) is very good for steamed crabs and also a place called Jimmy's Seafood is very very good steamed crabs. I could easily give you directions to Jimmy's from downtown if you needed them.

Timbuktu's is very good for crabcakes, but get them broiled. They are tops.

Jack, you are right about the salad dressing at Sabatino's. The one thing I truly liked about their food was their Greek Salad. But other than that, I wasnt a big fan of the Saba.

Now I'm assured of a good trip because I know the food will be good even if the Mets SUCK!!! I'm sure I'll be primed for the pigskin when I get back.
Thanks for all the help. Scrubbo
P.s- I'm sure I'll be able to get restaurant directions at the hotel.

hey, i spent 4 years on the bay there and have eaten damn near everywhere. DONT eat at ESPN zone. good food, nasty service.
HOOTERS is also just as rude (been kicked out a few times for dropping ice down the waitresses shirts)
if you want crabs, and you sound like you do, head on down to Annapolis,
its about 20 minutes south on I-97. go right to Main Street and eat at BUDDY'S CRAB HOUSE. the ABSOLUTE best deal you will get for some damn fine crabs. In the summertimes they used to run a deal,
alll you can eat for like 17 bucks, plus corn on the cob and all the trimmings. They bring a big ole 5 gallon bucket full of crabs to your table and you just tear right in my man.
If you have younger kids, they will like the area as well, and any wives/gf's you bring will love the little stores on the street and the scenic harbor (Ego Alley) which any and every table overlooks. In ego Alley... well... just like the name says.. thats where the boats are that cost more then my life.

I went to the Red Sox at the O's last year at Camden.

Went to the ESPN Zone after for dinner.

Had a blast!

Peace!
