Was up a lot 1st half of football season and barely missed on a couple big plays and parlays...Yankees comeback on Red Sox in 9th killed a huge payout...but was still up big.

Got on a cold streak before the bowls and I've never in my life gone so cold. I've lost what feels like just about every bowl game I've bet on and some of them just can't believe how they lost. Throw in a couple basketball games. Went big on a NC State game and instead of covering...dude knocks a rebound out to a guy who nails a "3" at the buzzer and I push...at least I didn't lose.

Going to try and run down my bowl misery...sorry if it turns into a long thread...feel free to join in the misery....

Nev/Ari I won on the Over

Lost on SD St that started with some bullshit low block that called a TD back

Lost on ECU

Meant to take SMU and didn't get home in time

Lost on Bowling Green

The Duke game sums up a lot. Parlayed Duke ML with the Over and had Duke +9 amazing they didn't win but arguably my worst beat ever in that they didn't cover after the pick-6, which came after the 80-yard TD...which came after the 2nd fumble inside the 5....unreal

Swore I was done but came back for more.....

Lost on both WVirginia and the Over.

Lost on TCU b/c the guy not only catches a punt inside the 5 but drops it and then can't recover it. How TCU blew that game is beyond me.

Lost on Oregon State ML as Texas scores 2 TD's in 4th quarter.

Lost on NC State.

Won on Ga Tech HOOOOORAY!!!!!

Lost on LSU/Clemson Over

Lost on Miss St

Won on Purdue/OklaSt Over (1-pt win....yay!)

Won on SCar/Ga ML Parlay

Lost on Big Bet on Wisc +5 that kick return interference bullshit was huge and can't believe Wisky did so little with such great field position 2nd half

Lost on N Illinois

Lost on Fla/Over teaser so I went back for more and lost 2nd half Fla

Also lost UNLV over UNC (that's how desperate it got lol)

And lost a few NBA games in there too. Just a brutal December and early Jan after a pretty bad November...

I've gotten to the point in gambling where I know its for fun and of course I want to make some money but I know I'm streaky and I know everyone has losing streaks.

Some of my best stories in gambling and in life are wins and some of my best stories are losses.

I've gotten to the point where I can usually laugh at the way that Duke game went....but there are times when you just lose and lose and lose and something like that is beyond unreal.

That TCU game really pissed me off. You watch some of these mediocre teams and piss poor coaching and realize how much these morons are making.....

I've been in cold streaks before but never so cold for so long and seen so many games that just completely turn against me.

Its not life and death but its frustrating as hell. I wanted to take L'ville so bad last night but I just got burned taking N Illinois the night before.....

Anyway, like I say, not the end of the world. Go K-State!

Hey the best capper on this site who tons of people follow is ice cold so you are not the only one. Most of these games have not even been close so at least we are not suffering. I think it started with that Duke collapse and went downhill from there.

I'll be back but I think I just need a good long break and to just make myself stay away.

I took off a couple months or so last summer and then started with football season...but mixed some baseball in as well. Was up but could have easily been up so much more.

Hit a slump and didn't panic....and just have pretty much lost my ass for over 2 months.

But its all good. Just need a break. By the way.....thanks. :)

Yeah for me I thought the Duke game was going to be a really big hit for me....with both the side and the parlay with ML/Over. Funny thing is I parlayed the Over with 2 other bets that both lost late in the game before. Was so close to a huge day and even just getting Duke +9 would have been great. To lose like that.....it wasn't the beginning for me, just the continuation lol...

Go Notre Dame lol

Can I at least get some props for catching that weird safety....even though I didn't think they had caught it or what the ruling would have been lol

Man, I have been there too (along with just about everyone else on the board).

It gets to a point where it's not at all about losing the money - you just get beaten down and beaten down with every horrible loss until you just feel like a . . .loser. It's just hell on your psyche. And even though you know your actions have no effect on the outcome it absolutely FEELS like you are causing it.

I was on the Bowling Green game with you and that one was bad. I only had a little bit left in my account and it wiped me out. I had been planning to bet on Duke next but didn't have any money to do it. I would have deposited more but I already had a dinner and movie night planned with the wife so we went out instead. Then I came home later and read about what happened and felt like I dodged a bullet.

Not sure what my exact point is, other than to say that I think you are doing the right thing by taking a break for a while. There will always be more games when you come back.

Cheers!

Yeah, like I say....thanks a lot to all. I love this board and love gambling. Don't mind taking the losses with the wins but it gets to a point and its gotten brutal.

And it was the Bowling Green game that I had BG and the Under and that ending was brutal. Could have easily won them both, which were each parlayed with Duke Over (felt great about Duke Over) and then Duke ML as well as +9.

Man, what a difference those 2 games endings made in such a brutal way. And have lost almost every game since.

I'll be back......eventually.
