Thought I'd start passing along some picks of my own in here. My strength is definitely fight props, but I started betting 'ball last season and had a good amount of success not overanalyzing things....hence the name.
I look at recent trends, pitching match-ups, and - believe it or not - the "due" theory. Yanks hadn't dropped five games in a row this century, so when the Royals series rolled around, it was a circumstantially good bet.
Detroit ml +190
Down to +184 at OLY this morning. This same pitching match was a 10-2 rout for Detroit last week. Given that, there's a lot of value in the play. Tigers are a scrappy, aggressive team that can hit, and Maroth is finally getting that support. Getting 2-1 on him is a gift.
Royals ml EV
Toronto isn't hitting lefties like they were last year and generally don't have their stuff yet. KC is a hard-hitting team due for a turnaround.
