Just checking. Is the driver of this vehicle an idiot because he pulled through from one parking space to another?

That ain't how it went down but that would be an idiot move too. The lane is one-way.

Fucking drives me insane when someone backs into a spot, regardless of the 1-way or not. Jackass is always in front of you, taking up time to pull forward, back up, pull forward again, straighten up, back up. All that fucking time spent backing up isn't saving them the convenience of pulling right out. And for the record, if you need to do it because you have troubles backing up and seeing, maybe you shouldn't be driving.

Rant over :0corn

vehicles get better economy when warm, I always back in or park pulled thru and headed down hill, rolling down hill on start up helps the MPG, but that is usually in a walmart, krogers, meijers, gander mountain or side lot at at restaurant. I don't think it matters much out in the sticks as we do not have as many people parking these days it seems. I also do not mind walking from the far end of the parking lot, get a little exercise, avoid the door dings, and you would not believe the number of dimes nickels and pennies I pick up walking to and from the car, people have so much junk on their key chains they pull coins out of their pocket and purse with the keys I guess. Jack not trying to get your blood pressure up, life is short, enjoy and Live Free.

It is great to be retired and not in a big ass hurry any more

Plus that is a S-10, has a better turning radius than the Avalanche sitting next to it or one of your SUV's or crew cab 4-WD pickups. That is what I love about my new Subaru Impreza, you can spin it around on a St Rt here in Ohio, easy maneuverability.

Been proven many times over that it is safer to back into a parking place than to back out. At the place where I worked before I retired, which has thousands of employees, it was required that all personnel parked facing out of the parking place.

He could have pulled straight into the spot from a row of spots in the next aisle.

He could have been the first one to park before the vehicles on either side of him.

If he has a tight turning radius like my Toyota, he'll be heading out of that spot without incident or delay.

Regardless, without more evidence of doing something boneheaded when he parked or when he left, it doesn't rate even a blip on the radar of driving annoyances. JMO.

He was probably just a good employee then, trying to make an honest wage. And Jack calls him an idiot. Shame.

It was Walmart and he saw the close spot so pulled into a one way lane (see how all the cars are parked?) which made a car going in the right direction stop and wait for him to back in.

What's he going to do when he leaves?

He's an idiot.

Btw, I was parked in a no parking zone near the entrance waiting for my wife. :0003

I don't mind backing in if the person is skilled enough to do it as fast as they pull in. That's rare though Bc most people can't drive.
