.... not quite sure what my take would be on wanting home field advantage.

first, they have the first game at home, regardless, and they have a bye, too...... so it's either one game at home, or 2 games at home.

St. Louis has 2 losses on the season, and BOTH are at home, they are perfect on the road this year.

Second, *IF* they get the Bears in the championship game.... the Bears have allowed only NINE total points in domes this year.... Granted, that is not nine points to St. Louis, but they ARE doing great in the domes.......

so.........hmmmmmmmm

know one thing for sure, i'll be cheering my butt off for Philly to knock off TB next week, would much rather have Philly in Chicago that GB or SF

not so fast on them niners BahamaMama. Doubt if they get that far but if they do i will be a road trippin up good ole I-65 to be there. I can remember quite a few years back going to chicago/niners playoff game below freezing conditons and like -30 wind chill. It was so dam cold that your coffee froze from the concession stand to your seat. Only problem I had was that I couldn't display my Montana jersey proudly because I was dressed like an Eskimo head'n to the polar caps to get me some seal meat.

gotta remember Mike Martz is coaching....he always likes to win big at home.....don't know if Vick is quite ready yet but I think buying the half down to 14 is a good play....over could be tough to get if the Falcons cannot score....but think the Rams -14 is solid.....

i'm not by any means saying in my initial post that i don't think St. Louis will win and/or cover today's game against ATL...

i'm just trying to justify it being a GOOD thing for the bears if the Rams DO win.... i'd rather see Chicago as the #2 seed, and taking on St. Louis in the dome if they make it by their 1st game against whoever it turns out to be (that's where i'm HOPING for Philly, as i think that would be the easiest of the 3 games with the choices of GB, SF, or PHL) ....... although if TB were to beat philly in the wildcard game and head off to STL, they are one of STL's losses at the dome so far, and that gives me further hope of Chicago staying at home, and playing a lesser team than STL.....

YES, every bit of this is wishful thinking
