Pithy? " If you are going to use words I don't understand I will take that as disrespect". What movie does this line come from?

I don't think he means cancel your plans on betting Forrest, I think he just meant cancel whatever he was about to post. Thats how I took it anyway...

If I'm wrong...then it was very pithy...lol

My bad...very long day...I had just got in from a 10hr drive from Mex.

lol...I'll have to look up the word pithy as well...not in my vocabulary.

what i was gonna say is that anyone that was interested in playing forrest.....and was put off a bit by the current odds, theres a points prop at 5 dimes that was basically -1.5 (-125)forrest....

the problem was that it was based solely on lederman`s scorecard...so lederman,if it went to the cards, would have had to have forrest up by at least 2 points.....which given no knockdowns, even rounds or point deductions, would be at least a 2 point decision one way or the other(7-5)...

obviously, that extra half point could screw you even if lederman sees it forrest`s way(given knockdowns or even rounds playing a role)...and personally,i`m seeing to many "lederman" props(at 5 dimes)...and that makes my teeth itch a bit.....

i heard a few folks bitching about the hopkins/wright "3 round prop" scoring from lederman and after the "donaghy" scandal in the nba,i wouldn`t trust lederman any farther than i could throw him....

btw.......i have a question about point props ...hypothetical situation..say baldomir wins a split decision.... say the scoring is widely divergent....2 judges giving baldomir 1 point vedicts...and one judge giving it to forrest by 5 points......

for sake of argument, say it was a - 2 point forrest spread.....he covers the points, but loses the fight...

that would be a loser....yes/no?.....

Its all about the points I believe, you add up the 3 scores and apply the spread, doesn't matter who wins the fight as far as I know

On the Lederman card deal, with Forrest at -1.5 if he wins 7-5 or 115-113 you would win the bet, but if he scores it a draw its a loser instead of a push
