you cannot list the starting pitchers. If there is a pitching change, you are stuck with your wager.

Last night I had FLA and took the loss. At most books, the game would have been cancelled.

This is an FYI. Their lines are great for dogs but buyer beware for pitching changes.

I was wondering....

I was wondering....

Does SIA adjust the odds accordingly?

&

Are total wagers voided w/ a pitching change?

THANKS.

good questions:

odds didn't appear to be adjusted, but not certain.

do not know about totals.

I wrote to them regarding my wager and there response was all games are "action". This despite the fact that when you place the wager, the pitchers are listed.

anyway, I don't know the specific answers to your questions.

From SIA's website.....

From SIA's website.....

"Betting on total runs (over/under) or the run line (+1.5/-1.5) is offered on the basis of both listed pitchers starting the game. Both pitchers must start the game and throw at least one pitch for bets to have "Action". If either listed pitcher fails to start the game for any reason, the bet will be deemed to have ?No Action? and the stake will be returned."

This is standard. Your totals wager would be voided if a pitching change occured.

"In the event of a pitching change prior to the game, moneyline bets will stand, but the odds of the bet may be adjusted. If a scheduled pitcher starts against an unscheduled pitcher, moneyline bets will be calculated by the opening odds with the new pitcher."

You're right. ML wagers would be considered "Action" but the odds MAY BE adjusted to reflect the change. Obviously if the Big Unit was scratched from a scheduled start in favor of some jabronee then the price would be lower on the new AZ pitcher.

oh yeah.....

oh yeah.....

note that the NEW ML ODDS you'll get as a result of the pitching change are the opening odds after the change is made, not the closing right before the game starts.

Same policy at Intertops. No pitchers and the line you get is the line you get.

Intertops is European based. Don't know much about SIA but if they are too then it might be a general pattern ...
