Just a "heads up" for those that use Betjamaica. I am sure most here know this but if not, this may be helpful.......

Betjamaica really "gets ya" if you play a parlay. Take a look at the parlay below:

6 team parlay
--------------------------------
-135
-125
-110
-110
-275
-105

Real odds = 30.52 (+2952)

Betjamaica Odds = 27.47 (+2647)

If one were to bet 100 dollars on the above parlay you would be screwed out of 100's and 100's of bucks:scared

Obviously they are not the only ones who do this, many books screw you on parlays. There are books that give you true odds on parlays, so if you are doing a parlay use another book. It seems that if you do a 3 team parlay or higher Betjamaica "takes a bite" out of the odds. If you do a two team parlay you are fine, but anything over two and you won't be getting true odds.

Betjamaica is a great book (one of the best), but if you like parlays do not play them there. And as I said they are a great book, just be aware about parlays, that's all I am saying.

On the plus side, they do give generous odds on some teasers:)

I would imagine if you brought this to their attention you would get paid on the past parlays that you were screwed on.

I am sure they will say it was a technical error because most people would never notice.

I highly doubt they'd do that, although good suggestion. But if they did do that then EVERYBODY would be entitled to the missing funds. And that would equate to hundreds of thousands of dollars:scared

As I said they are not the only book that does this, many books do not give true odds on parlays. But if you look at example above that is a huge difference between +2952 and +2647:scared If you bet 100 bucks on the parlay example above you would be "screwed out of" lots of bucks.

Also, it would be difficult to "go back" and look at the parlays I won, you can only see "previous bets" from 1 week ago, so that makes it difficult:(

But hey as I said they are not the only book that does this. And reason is simple, 90% of clients don't know that they ARE NOT getting true odds. If everybody knew they were not getting true odds the sportsbooks wouldn't do it.

And by the way many sportsbooks in Nevada screw you on parlays as well. I know of three that DO NOT give you true odds on parlays.

I figured it would be worth a shot. Maybe they value you as a customer. :142smilie

Even though you can only see back a week, their server can see every wager. You can request your wager log from the past year if you wanted.

And if they paid back the true odds on the parlays, they would still be WAY up on money.

Scotty from Betjamaica contacted me, class act for a book to respond, many books would have just ignored me.

Anyway, it is true that you will not get true odds if ya mix sports. If all odds were say -110 it would be different. But when ya "mix odds" you won't get true odds. But as I said Betjamica isn't the only ones that do this.

But it really doesn't matter. Betjamica is such a top notch book, it is a mute point. Some might say I was bashing em, that wasn't my intention.

Plus I am glad I did contact them. Got to speak with Scotty, this guy is 100 percent class. He even said that if I was ever in Jamaica to come to the office and see him. You just don't get that kind of service from any book. Yes it would be nice if Betjamaica gave true odds on some parlays, but in grand scheme of things it doesn't mean that much. Playing at a class book is the best thing.

Oh and for what it is worth I lose most parlays anyway so odds really don't matter:142smilie
