Hey fellas --- long time member/lurker....hardly ever post.....looking at upgrading my home system.....

What would you guys buy?

Looking at the Dell Dimension 8400
with a P4...1Gig hard drive.....20inch flatscreen

Can get this for around $1500.....Good Buy? Want to spend around $1500

you can get it cheaper, keep an eye out for coupons. Also, some good deals on Ebay. Just make sure the seller is highly ranked/respected/positive feedback.

also check out small business site of dell, sometimes things are cheaper over there, I think the 4700 is fine for most people then you could get your flat panel also. Make sure you give it at least 512 RAM, if they want to upgrade it for you don't unless your not comfortable in doing it. Memory can be bought cheaper at Crucial.com
