I?m trying to figure out what this means, but I?m pretty sure it means you are a Dick. Please clarify so I don?t have to think that. Hope you are managing the hurricane situation and that u and your family are safe regardless.
Geez, Judgemental much😂
One of my closest friends is a Doctor Who has run volunteered to run and work a Covid ward, now doing it for a fourth time. Three in 2020, and again now. He has received National publicity on major networks, has been interviewed on ABC, multiple Pro sports franchises have awarded him jerseys, has received awards for his selfless work. He is a specialist, but not in infectious disease. He contracted the illness twice in the process. And yes, he is vaccinated, just like I am. I?m about is aware of what?s happening, at least in my area, with Covid as anyone not directly involved, which means I am certainly aware that Covid hospitalizations in this, the largest hospital system in Louisiana, and Covid deaths are both running roughly 9 to 1 unvaccinated to vaccinated here. My friend is not afraid, nor am I. Like him, I am acutely aware that I, like any of you, may eventually succumb to Covid despite my Moderna vaccination ? which apparently has 3.3 times the amount of mRNA than the Pfizer per recent studies, so yay me!!!
Ive been asking joker if he?s afraid based on numerous fearmongering photos(at least one completely out of context), but he?s denied it. After reading this random anecdotal post, I realized he is afraid and the emoji was me saying gotcha lol
Anyway, as to me being a dick, that?s a matter of opinion. Some may think so, while others may not. Doesn?t affect me in the least. I?m just moving thru life the best way I know how, enjoying myself, raising couple of dudes and looking forward to retirement in 10 years and 9 months. With my luck I?ll die in 10 years and 10 months, of the Covid-19 delta tau chi variant. 😂
As the the hurricane, I sent my family to seaside, Florida, for a week, then they drive closer to home to orange beach, Alabama, for 3 days before returning yesterday. I spent 6 days with no power in Nola because we couldn?t take our 3 dogs to the condo I rented. . We were actually at 0% power in Nola for 4 days. 85% as of yesterday, with things nearly back to normal. I regained power on the 6th night. After night 1, I obtained two small generators to power my refrigerator, oscillating fans and my TV. I was able to stream to my TV from my phone, which provided a welcome sense of normalcy. That day, I hauled my hurricane debris to my rear service alley for pickup, then helped my neighbor do his yard. Another buddy and I drove around town day 2 checking on property of friends and family, helping a Tulane student find her dog, and searching for window AC units at all local Home Depot?s and Lowe?s (yep, amazing how quickly they opened 👊🏼👊🏼) to improve our quality of sleep. 84 degrees and high humidity was a sleep killer at night!!! On day 3, I finally located and purchased 2 window units and cooled my living room. Open floor plan, so I used blankets to seal off the living quarters for me and my dogs. Kinda cool, Like playing fort as a kid.
Grocery stores opened, so I was cooking and living it up so to speak days 4 and 5. We helped neighbors clean up by day, played cards at night. I found and returned a lost dog day 5, which was cool bc I love dogs (generally more than people bc they?re not as judgmental. No offense se lol ). Day 6 was LSU game day. I raised my purple and gold flag hoping for a renewed defensive vigor from the bayou bengals after last season. We setup a killer game party at a buddies house with window ac units and tons of food. There was all the booze you could desire, but I?m not drinking much these days. I did shoot a couple of mind erasers with the group , which brought me back to my high school or is it high school daze. Lol The game didn?t turn out how I had hoped, but at halftime I received a notification from my security system that two windows (the ones with the AC units ) were open, Which indicated my electric service had been restored by the selfless linemen down here from all over the country. Day 7 thru 9 were life as usual. I?m in insurance, so I spent my days consulting with friends re: their storm damage Yesterday my fam returned, as mentioned, so they cleaned up the house and I went back to work. I?d say we managed ok. Thanks for asking!
