I'm Back!!! WITH A BANG(LOCK LOCK LOCK OF THE YEAR)

Still have one more exam left on December 10th and just realized that I have been away since Nov 16th. Looked at today's card and see one play that warrants a hefty wager. I guess my local has screwed up again and I am going to make him pay for this one.

Every morning he emails me the cards lines(NBA/NHL). For today's match between Milwaukee and Toronto in the NBA he has the total as 118, instead of 188. So what I will do in hoping to minimize the chance that he does correct out the error is call in the play 2 minutes before gametime. He takes a max of 50 units for a play, but not to make it too obvious I am going to wager 30 units. Keeping my fingers crossed that he does not call me to inform me of an error. The only thing that worries me is if one of his other players calls in a play early. My local usually doesn't check the plays called in way after the game has started, so I am praying.

Risking 33Units to win 30 units

I had to read it 3 times to be sure I was understanding this correctly. All I'm gonna say is if you really feel that you deserve to win this wager based on that line, Uhhh, I'm going to be sure and position myself VERY far from you during the next lightning storm. You may win some cash with this play, but the "price" you will pay will come in the form of some bad, bad, karma.


BTW - I have been given questionable line by my local in the past and have always pointed it out to them before I made my wager. Sometimes they tell me there was no error and other times they thank me for pointing it out and have occassionally honored the wrong line. All I know is that I feel a lot better about myself knowing I didn't cheat anybody, especialy when it comes to cash!!

You make a valid point, but trust me this guy is a crook and he has cheated me enough times. For example, there was a time last year when I called in " L.A. -8 for 10 units". The Lakers were playing the supersonics and were the only LA -8. Sure enough after the game was over the the Lakers covered the spread, he says the wager didn't count because he didn't know if I mean to say the Clippers or Lakers, i told him Clippers had a different line then the Lakers game, his reponse went something like " I didn't know which LA team you wanted". I responded " so why didn't you call me to confirm?", he responds that he stepped out. But funny how he calls me after the game is over, if it had lost I am sure he would have collected, so all I have to say is SCREW him. So far no phone call from him yet. Wait and see.

TTM - First of all, I want to thank you for not taking my post sooooo seriously. I offered a different veiw and you didn't blast me for it. That seems to be a lost concept around here lately.

Anyway, back to my veiw of things....

1. If he is a crook, you shouldn't be playing with him. If he didn't honor your Laker bet, what makes you think he'll honor this one?

2. Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because he's a crook, doesn't make it OK for you to be one.

3. Do yourself a favor, get an offshore account pronto!

he didn't honor my Laker wager because both LA teams (Lakers/Clippers) were playing on that day, hence the cancellation of my wager. Secondly, he makes so many mistakes that i like to just see his lines and whenever there is an error, I take advantage of it. I do have a couple of offshore accounts, but they never make mistakes.
