Homerun leader just like that. Reminds me of that other Jose with the last name of Canseco.
The longest homerun I have ever seen was hit in Toronto by Canseco in the 4th deck that ball is still travelling :scared

Do you really think there were that many "haters"?

I mean, this is a country where people tend to be more polite. And everyone loves and trusts Alex Anthopolous, the boy genius GM.

Oh wait, you are right. You are talking about bitter Leafs fans!! F'em. :142smilie :mj07:

lol for most

don't like the Canseco comparison, though.
dude was the biggest slacker in the outfield, while Bautista is a hustler in all facets.

Funniest thing I ever saw in baseball was that home run that bounced off of Canseco's head and then boinked over the wall.
Took a quick look for a youtube vid but doesn't look av.

go tb! and sharks Sunday (fork the Canorks)

That homerun that bounced off Canseco's head was one of the most hilarious things I ever saw in BJ history. That baserunning thingy back and forth and Buck with the broken leg (it was him, wasn't it?) tagging the guy out at the plate was funny shit, too.
:0002

But c'mon man...the Canucks are now Canada's team. Smoke a joint and get with the program, willya? :toast:

The one thing I do like about the sharks is that James Hetfield is an avid fan and attends reguraly.
He and Metallica did record one of their albums in Vancouver and they loved the city :0074

more Canadians on the sharks roster than the Canucks, but not what I be thinkin'.

sharks with much tougher road, so far--more tested--and the Canucks didn't look to sharp, IMO

should be a good series and price on lower seed is impossible to turn down, IMOagain

and I don't remember that other stuff, yanno.
I missed it or my memory is parched.
Glad you remember that boinkage, though--was freakin' hilaarious.

drated 20th round by Pit
even had some decent years with Pit, mid '00's--power-wise, at least
Just not often someone comes into their own in their 30's.
He's 31 in October, actually.

Just incredible.
Maybe the Yanks can continue to not hit, Bosox go back into a funk and Rays continue recent chillage.
My apologies to any O's fans.

Morris on Bautista

Morris on Bautista

I was listening to Jack Morris (of World Series fame with the Tigers, Jays) who is now a broadcaster with Minny. He was really down about the Twins but says he still cheers for his old teams.

Anyways, he said that jose bautista has the best plate coverage that he has seen in years. Said the only place you can reallly pitch him is to throw at his shoes. Or at him, but pitchers don't do that any more for fear of getting tossed. He thought it was a shame. That's our Jack! :mj07:
