As you may or may not know from reading another thread, our website is currently experiencing technical difficulties. While we are working to have this fixed as soon as possible, it has come to my attention that it may not be fixed in time for the start of the 1 PM EST NFL games. As a result, we may end up having to do all phone betting for today's games.
Being that we are first and foremost an internet sportsbook, we may or may not be able to handle the massive increase in phone business today. I have called in extra phone clerks who had the day off, but we are generally about 95% internet and 5% phone...so it will be difficult to make the transition in 2 hours to 100% phone and ZERO% internet. So what I am asking from you is the following:
1. If you want to place phone bets, please be patient with the phone operator who is used to dealing off of a computer screen and is now reading off a line sheet the old fashioned way.
2. Please call in as early as possible, as we cannot guarantee that you will be able to get down plays in the 10-15 minutes leading up to game time which is always extremely busy.
3. Please limit your NFL plays to sides and totals for the entire game. All first half and first quarter plays will not be handled by phone today in an effort to streamline the process. We are sorry for this inconvenience, but we are trying to help serve as many players as possible.
4. If at all possible, please do not ask for a rundown of every line. If you can, just call and ask the operator the lines in the games you wish to bet.
5. Please be understanding that the clerk may not have your balance available due to the problem with the website. If you place wagers over your balance, they will be canceled. So if you have $300 in your account and you place 2 wagers for $200 each, your first wager will be graded as action and your SECOND wager will be graded as no action. No exceptions allowed, so if you have any doubt about whether or not you have the money in your account, don't bet it.
6. The parlay and teaser payouts may not be readily available. You will be quoted a line and the payoff will be figured once the software is back and running. If you have a problem with not knowing the payoff in advance, I understand if you bet elsewhere today.
7. Please do not ask to process a payout or make a deposit until the internet site is back up. Other than Western Union deposits, no transactions would be available until this is fixed.
