Chit, internet server been down for the past 12 hours :(

Had to phone in bets, how archaic is that?? :moon: :D

Sorry wasn't able to post....took the Windies at $3.75, Boucher 36 pts and over ($1.83) and Klusener under 36 ($1.83)...

Interesting point is, now I could - if I wished - make a hedge/middle by backing Sth Africa to get up at +110 in the live betting...

Of course, this would require a larger wager to make it worthwhile, I'll just ride the doggies...

But it is something worth watching very closely - especially in games where the initial odds are a lot closer.

eg, in tonight's game between NZ and Sri Lanka, if I can get NZ at +120 I would consider the possibilty of an in-game middle ...

GL all :)

England, u.k.
Anders as I said the team who bats first usually wins at Cape Town under day / night conditions. (10 wins, 3 loses)

When I found Windies won toss I backed them at 5/2 (+250), then backed South Africa at 7/1 (+700) in running.

Made a little profit.

I agree with you that backing New Zealand at 6/5 (+120) allows every possibilty of playing Sri Lanka at around the same price in running. I have played betting in-running on cricket for a good number of years now and is a strong element to my overall performance. I find that the bookies over react to what happens in one over.

Take todays game, S.Africa were 7/1 to win, Klusener makes 18 off one over, all of a sudden they are 4/7, yet they still require nearly 2 runs a ball for four more overs. The advantage was still with the Windies. Just my throught. More games are won by the fielding side in this situation than not. I have six years of stats that bear this out. Odds against in this situation begs being backed and if you played only these situations throughout the year you would be a very rich man.

Thanx for the advice Del....1st time I have looked at in-game betting for cricket and the potential for middles struck me almost immediately...

Happy to cash 2 of 3 tickets incl the nice doggy and the Lara innings (cheers Mr Kallis :toast: ) was a nice kick-start to the futures plays...
