Howdy fellas,

I'm going to go with popular vote on this one. In vegas for the next few days and going to be playing strictly poker. Most like 3-4 hour sessions at a crack since the woman is with me.

Also, because of her being along... I will probably only be playing 1/2 NL games so she doesn't freak out seeing a mortgage payment get ponied up for a buy in on the bigger games.

Where do you recommend?

Skill level for me is above average, and I play very tight aggressive.

I normally am the dominant player at the table in the East chicago/Gary Indiana NL games, and am usually in the top 3 at the Potawatomi 2/5 NL game.

Staying at the Wynn, heard the games there are great but room sucks.
Anyone have input on best place to play for the best action for a TAG?

Unlike Agent, I dont lose to bad beats. WIll post notes when I get back if I am still alive.

low limit no limit you would probably like the mgm or venetian rooms.

i don't like nl, but i just talked to a few people and this is what they recommend.

your playing style doesnt mean much in a 12 hour or so span that you will be at the table. only matters long term. hopefully you find a good table and win some money.

gl and have a good trip

I was out there for the first day of the NCAA tourney and I played at MGM and was very impressed with the room. Very state of the art poker room. Not to mention the drink service was unreal. I had one in hand and one on the way ALL DAY... anyway...there are some ok players there but def some fish too.

Im not sure where your staying but Harrahs has some donkeys as well.. they also have a bunch of TVs in their poker room bc they turned their sportsbook into their poker room some years back so plenty of TVs if you plan to bet a ball game or 2. Drink service there is good too but not as good as MGM..

My list would look something like this.

1. MGM: :00hour
2. Ceasars: (very nice) not many TVs
3. Harrahs: Small room but can hustle donkeys
4. Mirage: Has better players if your looking for some competition.

Good luck out there

I hope it is ok to post this but check this out.

www.allvegaspoker.com

It will have all the info you need. I'd play at the Venetian if I were you. Best room I've ever played in.

my 2 favorites are venetian & mgm... the best over the rest by a landslide. wynn is ok to play but great spot to stay.
ok, ballys & belagio (alot of rudeness).
hate mandalay bay, caesars & palms...

Thanks for the advice fellas.

I took 3rd in a tourney at the Venetian right away early in the trip. nice poker room!
After that, played some cash game there and at teh Wynn late at night when I just wanted to kill time before bed.
Wynn was actually pretty nice.
I stopped in the poker room at Treasure Island just to play the lil 60$ tourny there.

Small room, virtually ZERO good players there. Of the 60 players in the tourney, there were possibly 6 guys that had some clue of how poker works.
Picked up a nice 1st place win in it, and then managed to stack 2 wonderful frat boys in a cash game right after the tourney.
Even though the poker room there sucked, and they serve coffee in juice glasses with plastic wrapped around it so you dont burn your hands.. the poor players and willingness to give away their money made up for it.
