Where all the people go. Never saw it empty out so fast. The Pres is standing there in his box any everyone left and right of him left. They say it's cold. 30 degrees are you kidding. Those are high price seats. Bunch of softies.

Yeh I saw that too. I was thiinking that we should just skip the inauguration and save all the money and use it for other things.

Then I heard someone say that the inauguration was for all the rich people that contributed to the campaign.

that explained it.

Glad to see you viewing fox again DJV--cause you sure didn't see it on CBS---and looks like very few on CNN and MSNBc ;)-----

CNN LOSES 63% OF AUDIENCE OVER INAUGURATION 2001
Fri Jan 21 2005 23:52:24 2005

CNN hemorrhaged more than half their audience from the 2001 Inauguration, overnights show. The troubled news network only averaged 779,000 viewers during yesterday's Inauguration coverage from 10am-4pm with just 168,000 of those viewers landing in the coveted 25-54 demo.

Like CNN, MSNBC also suffered major losses, only averaging 438,000 viewers throughout yesterday's coverage (141,000 in 25-54), down a whopping 68% over 2001 and faring even worse in primetime with just 385,000 viewers.

In contrast, Fox News averaged 2,581,000 viewers from 10a-4p (up 30% over 2001) and their 25-54 demo average of 705,000 came close to CNN's total coverage ratings yesterday.

PRIMETIME:

FNC -- 2,439,000 (up 57% OVER '01)
CNN -- 1,353,000 (down 14% over '01)
MSNBC -- 385,000 (down 47% over '01)

So what your saying republicans watch. But the rest of the 330 million Americans didn't bother. Ya I know a few of us independents watch. Someone has to try and keep them honest.
So I guess I should be honest to. I missed most of it.

ABC evening news 30 minutes 2.9 million.
NBC evening news 30 minutes 3.4 million.
No number for CBS. But they used to be number 1 in evening news. But I believe it's NBC now.
Fox is careful to say there number 1 on cable.
I see at any given time CNN headline news has 275000 to 300000 tuned in. I guess they could say for headline news there number 1.
It really dont matter it's who you wish to believe is best with there half truths.

Fox News can't hold a candle to CBS or NBC news, why do I get the feeling that most folks watching Fox News turn to the fishing channel to see if Leroy catches that Bass tonight.

mc,

i don't know how you can say that fox news can't hold a candle to cbs news after all of the problems that cbs has gone through.

but i do agree with you about nbc.

btw, i watch fox news......& have never gone fishing in my life.

i watch about nbc....50% of the time & fox the other 50%.

btw, i heard last week on chris matthews show that there are 300 counties in the u.s. 250 voted red...those are the people that fox is reaching.

these people feel that fox talks to them while the other stations talk over them....which liberals tend to do.

300 counties in the u.s.? i think there are more than 150 in Georgia. i'm pretty sure that number is inaccurate.

kosar--you might want to find out who caught that bass. could be a new lead on some business! :scared

Not a bad idea, dawg, but the kitties don't eat bass. Now if Leroy was fishing for trout, we might be on to something.

Since voting demogaphic statistics proved the highest voter representations per income and education for Dems was
Education>those with no high school degree
Income>those under $15,000

Maybe you'd like to share with us what you switch to from CBS and NBC--I am curious??

When you have the time notice the marketing stratagy of advertisers and who they target--do you see a lot of --
credit repair--attorney ads--lotterys ads---ect on commercials??
Is Mathew Lesco a household name?

You find CBS and NBC news with about 2 minutes allotted towards stock market I could go on but you should have got the gist of it.

I dunno about other areas of the country, but out here in Maryland CBS stopped covering the parade and showed "Guiding Light" or some silly soap opera while the rest of the stations like Fox, NBC, and ABC were busy showing coverage of the parade.

Very disappointing to me as I really loved that show Survivor on CBS. Now I can never watch it again out of my personal boycott of CBS for their slap in the face to the countries executive branch.

Nope wouldn't say that Matt. Most that tune to CBS NBC CBS do so for it is same source as their local news--nothing wrong with that.--was just making rebuttle to "the can't hold a candle/fish channel" remark ;)

It is strange for those who believe CBS is dead. There 60 minute show each week draws over 6 million.
We need more liberal press to keep balance. We always need some opposition to who is in white house. Other wise we will be come the dictatorship.
