Incarnate Word +34.5 over Texas *
This is the final tune up game for Texas before the B-12 starts on sat vs West Vir. Texas has been playing what we would call cupcakes at home They beat Houston baptist by over 40. Beat No Col by 14,San Jose by 34,Cal Baptist by 24,Sam Houston16,UAPB by 32 etc meanwhile Incarnate lost to Baylor by 27,Tex Tech 22,Abilene Christian 33. Rice 30 and Purdue by 20 .. Incarnate ranks in the 300's in a bout 4 or 5 categories. There only 2 players that avg in double figures are their gds Morgan and Lutz, They have no front court and Texas has Mitchell and Allen inside. Plus Disu who has been out will get a lot of playing time today. Carr,Askew, etc will easily over power and Words gds . This game has blow out written all over but Beard will play a lot of his bench players getting ready for West Vir. on Saturday .Beard has so much depth and so much talent and only 1 ball. Yesterday one of his new players transferred to the portal because he wasn;t playing. If both teams bring their A game Texas wins by 35-40 points. But Beard I think will sub a lot and shuffle his top 10 players who are all better then the Incarnate 10. If Texas started its 2nd string they still win by 15-20 points. So games like this are hard to handicapp. Texas did lose to Zag and Seton Hall. To me Alabama St Tex Rio Grand,Cal Baptist ,Northern Col are all in the same boat as Incarnate Word and Texas would not of covered the 34 points. So a very small play on Incarnate to lose by 30 and just make the cover . Was going to the game but have company tonite . Will go tomorrow night to Troy -Texas St .. very small small play on Incarnate .
It was Incarnate that Tex St football team played and Incarnate had the best qb in the nation in Cameron Ward who then beat Tex St I remember the Tx St fans with signs saying "Incarnate Who" After Ward threw for over 400 yds and 5 touchdowns those bobcat fans shut up,. Incarnate is a small Catholic school only a few exits from UTSA . If I see Cameron Ward warming up on the layup line tonight its an easy cover. In 2 years from now we will hear ESPN 's draft coverage Mel Kipper say " where did this kid come from". You heard it hear . But it will be 2 years away because he is only a sophomore. Unless this kid transfers to a power 5 school.
