Just did my taxes, first time EVER getting a refund. THANK YOU Governor Walker!
Keep up the great work
You don't need Gov. Walker to prepare your income taxes. I could have told you to stop taking so many personal exemptions. ;)

I get slaughtered every year in Louisiana. Tons of typically acceptable federal deductions are not applicable per our state tax code.

I'm happy that he was bold enough to do what he said he would do and work to balance the budget and reduce spending - which means I get to keep more of the money I earn.

Yes, I have children in the public school system. It continues to amaze and boggle my brain - they just announced layoffs for some teachers at the school again....
a handful of teachers are being laid off. All of them are very junior in years of experience. They were chosen to be let go because they do not have seniority amongst the teachers. Effectiveness and merit do not matter. Their tenure (or lack of it) is what led them to be the ones chosen to be laid off.

And yet they are the same ones that are the most vocal about supporting and strengthening hte union.

Logic would tell me that the new generations of teachers (the ones with motivation and new teaching techniques and energy) should be the ones most vocal about getting rid of the union strength and allowing schools to hire on competitiveness and merit.

I am hoping to get money back this year  after getting divorced and not being able to take both kids as deductions I am going to get fucked...waiting for April 15th to send it in probably with an extension, I did take some losses on some stocks I had to sell to pay off the exwife but I am hopeful I break about even, as long as I do not have to pay quarterly next year

I'm curious. What did Governor Walker do exactly that altered your income tax status and return this year compared to the previous year? Maybe he did something, I'm just not sure what it would be. What does balancing the budget and reducing spending have to do with your personal income tax return? I'm assuming you are talking about your state return, right? Did he change the tax codes in Wisconsin? He very well might have - I'm just curious.

I haven't prepared my 2011 income taxes yet but I'll be disappointed if I don't get that BIG Scott Walker tax reduction that Marine got. ;)
