Only word of caution here and maybe a reason not to play it too big is that both Oladipo and Sabonis have 3 fouls a piece.

WOW, that start to the second half... my god :142smilie
The Mavs couldn't be trying to lose any more blatantly.

I just went bigger with in-running.

I guess Dallas decided they aren't going to try to lose tonight?

Or if they are, they're going to do it with their better lineup on the floor xstop

Arrgh...refs rule otherwise. Hopefully, Carlisle is drawing up a play to effectively lose this game without making it too obvious :0003

Clearly, I was wrong on this one. Will have to just keep looking for spots like this to play against in the obvious tankers like Dallas in situations where you can just need the other team to win. They gave Indy ample opportunity to win tonight allowing them to score 38 in the 4th qtr, the visitors just couldn't take advantage. Dallas is still 5-15 in games decided by 5 points or less, so opportunities like tonight are good spots to try to take advantage of that.

On further thought, the Mavs may still make a concerted effort to win at home. We know that Cuban is all about giving Mavs fans the best "experience" possible, so the team may be less inclined to tank during home games and could be saving their "less enthusiastic" efforts for the road. Maybe the move from here on out is to look for spots to fade them on the road when they take a lead large enough to allow for a discounted in-running price on the favorite, because we know that Dallas won't be favored on the road to anyone from here on out.

Well it didn't work out tonight, but we gotta just keep looking for these spots, Jord. Situations like this, when playing against teams like the Mavs and Bulls to "just lose" the game, should be profitable until the end of the season. Just gotta keep a close eye out for those opportunities.

Call me a sucker, but it's hard to imagine a playoff team losing back to back games against teams that are openly tanking. They had been playing so well of late -- eight games over .500 in the new year and are contending for a spot in the top half of the playoff bracket, with a chance to move closer to a 1st round home playoff series while the Wizards try to fend off the defending champs tonight. Hard for me to see b2b losses here for the Pacers and need I mention that the Hawks are contending with 7 other teams who are within a 2 games of them for the worst record in the league? Every loss is a precious one.
