Good evening everyone!!!
Bowl Season: 10-2-2
Colorado +4.5 over Alabama.
This should be interesting tonight. If you break down both teams you find enough warts on both to scare you off. My take, however, is that CU is on the uptick, while Bama is not. Basically, here's what I have seen from Bama this year. A few games where they started out great, but other than the Tennenssee game they weren't able to sustain that over four quarters. Teams as great as LSU and as average--or of CU's caliber--like Arky and Miss. St all caught them and eventuall passed them (yes, I know they did still beat Arky, by 3, at home) .....so that has been a season long trend. Even if they got off to a rocky start, expect the aggressive play calling and gameplan of Hawkins to get Bama on their heels and take over the game. In the final third of the season, CU QB Hawkins played much better, making plays with only four picks. Big time improvement, his game is peaking. JP Wilson, on the other hand, completed less than half his passed and was very turnover prone down the stretch. His game is far from peaking. I can see him being hot early to DJ Parker, but if the Buffs can negate that, i think they can stymie Bama. These teams look even in terms of talent, and I really do like Hawkins, the coach, as a game planner, better than Saban, and think he has the better QB tonight.
It'll be interesting for sure as a quick perusal of this site shows about an even split among my favorite handicappers. I'll take my chances with the points!
Good luck!!!
