One section here that I feel is excellent info:

Ask Vic: It's all about quarterbacks
By Vic Carucci
National Editor, NFL.com

(Nov. 4, 2004) -- We've got mail:

............. Are there any NFL rules regarding how long the coach-to-quarterback radio can be on?
-- Steve

With 15 seconds left on the 40-second play clock or at the snap of the ball -- whichever happens first -- a league employee in the press box shuts off the coach's transmission to the quarterback.

Just maybe....

Just maybe....

Those 15 yarder penalties for slap to the head are actually to protect those Radio Shack $12.95 receivers...they are valuable tools...some of the stupid ass qbs need a slap to the head now and then.... :chairshot
