i was at Borders a couple weeks ago studying in the River Oaks area of Houston....notably the upper class part of town....and over heard a dude on the phone talking about boxing so I tuned in....
Turns out this guy is either a trainer or promoter (he was talking about some big danish from what i remember -- not too sure about this though cuz i wasn't really paying attention until the name holyfield got in the mix) i couldn't figure out which, but he was talking to someone on Holyfields' team and i made out enough to clearly find out that Holyfield's hand is shot and that the true nature of the injury is not out and will not get out for obvious promotional and perhaps betting reasons....
I don't know much about boxing, and never have bet on it quite frankly, and don't know how to use this info, but thought i would pass it along....i am sure it is useful to those of us in the know on boxing......
