NFL preview which includes football odds, football line movement, injuries, weather, betting action, ATS statistics, team rankings and betting propositions.

(9-2) Seattle Seahawks @ (5-6) Philadelphia Eagles 9:05 ET ABC

Opening NFL Odds: Seahawks -3 o/u 44

Current NFL Odds: Seahawks -3.5 o/u 41

Breakdown:

Seattle is determined to match its franchise best 8-game winning streak tonight vs. the Eagles. They currently own the best record in the NFC at 9-2, after narrowly escaping with a win last week vs. the Giants. The offense, led by quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, has been explosive, averaging over 386 yards per game. Running Back Shaun Alexander leads the NFC with 1,339 yards rushing and 20 touchdowns.

Philadelphia notched a rare win last week vs. the lowly Packers. This week will be a little more difficult. With Terrell Owens banished and Donavon McNabb on the shelf, the Eagles have turned to the running game as their main offensive output. In the last two games, the run-pass ratio has dropped to almost 50%. Brian Westbrook has shouldered most of the load, including 20 carries for 120 yards last week in the win.

Injuries:

Seahawks

No serious injuries to report.

Eagles

No serious injuries to report.

Betting Action:

There has been steady early money being played on the Seahawks. The game opened at Seahawks-3 but quickly rose to -3.5, behind money being played on them at a ratio of 2 to 1. We expect the game to remain -3.5 up until kick-off.

The total has seen a strong move towards the ?under,? as a result of the weather forecast. There is a 70% chance of snow on the forecast with 5-10 mph winds. Inclement weather would force teams to turn towards their running game. Running the ball more burns the clock and the ?under? becomes a strong play. The total opened at 44 and was hit hard ?under? down to the current line of 41.

Keep in mind weather also acts as an equalizer between teams. More turnovers can favor either team and games often become more competitive.
