Intentional Foul....worst, dumbest rule in the game. You are allowed to foul....just call a foul or a flagrant.

Good to see Big East trying to help L'ville get in.

Yeah, horrible call.

Syracuse completely deserved to lose anyway if you ask me, and the likelihood of them covering was about none (would have needed OT and then a dominating performance), but nevertheless, that was a mammoth game-changing call, and questionable at best.

There are some around here that will likely call blasphemy for this following comment, but I feel like it's time and time again that Syracuse plays dumb, uninspired games in important situations, which is on the coach if you ask me, and thus: Jim Boeheim is (way) overrated.  kurby

didn't see it and I know a lot of you hate officials, was high school ref for years, and that don't make me anyone special but it is in the rule book, many foul calls are judgemental in nature, but being in the rule book, it is open to interpretation, might even be a point of emphasis this year

but isn't every foul at the end of a game when a team is down an "intentional" foul? i mean they are fouling the other team to stop the clock and get the ball back on purpose so it's intentional...it doesn't make sense the way the rule is now

Its just another one of those college "imperfect" rules that they want to keep to make themselves different from the pro game.

Not that it matters, but what is the exact rule? Is it just "how it looks" to the ref? I guess its probably "making a play on the ball" but give me a break.

I feel stupid discussing it, its so retarded. Down 2 with 3 seconds to go.....pretty sure they are fouling "intentionally".

You can knock the shit out of a guy and he gets 2 FT's and then touch somebody and its 2 + ball.

All that said, I think the guy missed both FT's and they would have had the ball anyway. Just hate the rule.

Cuse needed more than that call, but it was a bad call. The ref that made the call, Tim Higgins, is known around the Big East as not being a superb ref and many fan bases don't like him.

I was on L'ville + and felt it was a horrible call. Cuse was outplayed late, but it is a shame that an interesting closing minute of a tight game was ruined by a bogus call.

Probably said too much already about the foul, HOWEVER,........... I had it capped at Cuse by 4-5-6. Never been a great fan of Boeheim,....SOoooo I played Pitino + the points, buying a small INSURANCE POLICY TO +9 as usually I want a 3+ point cushion over my personal spot.

If you are a Cuse fan, wanting the win, I can see being upset, but find it hard to believe the Orange open up an 8 + point lead in OT to cover the number most shops had.

As Poon and one or two more stated it was not gonna change the cover.

Losing sucks and I had my fair share today Minny for one, Mia, OH makes two.

I am done typing as it is time to look forward and work on tomorrow.
