teams that lost the previous season?s Super Bowl are just 1-12 ATS on the road in week 1 since 1985 and the last 11 Super Bowl losers are 0-11 ATS in week 1 regardless of the site.

Interesting post!! Still like Pitt as the Steelers have won 8 straight season openers and Ben has never lost to the Ravens.... I will take my chances with Pitt an catching the 3 points! :0074

GL with what you decide....here are some other stats:

The Steelers have won eight straight season openers, last losing a Week 1 game in 2002 at New England, 30-14. The streak began with a 34-15 win over the Ravens at Pittsburgh in 2003, and is both the longest active Week 1 winning streak in the NFL, and the longest such streak in Steelers franchise history.

Since 2008, each Pittsburgh-Baltimore regular-season meeting has been decided on a go-ahead score in the last six minutes of the fourth quarter or in overtime. Pittsburgh won four of those six nail-biters, and has also captured both playoff meetings between the teams since the '08 season. A year ago, the teams traded road victories in the regular season, before the Steelers defeated the Ravens in yet another close game in the divisional playoffs, 31-24, erasing a 21-7 halftime deficit thanks in large part to three third-quarter takeaways.

Since the 2007 season, and including playoffs, Ben Roethlisberger has 12 touchdown passes and three interceptions in seven games vs. the Ravens. He is the only player ever to have a perfect passer rating in a game vs. the Ravens (minimum 15 attempts): on November 5, 2007, Roethlisberger posted a 158.3 rating, with five TD passes and no interceptions in a 38-7 Steeler win at Heinz Field.

Including playoffs, Joe Flacco has a 2-6 record vs. the Steelers; Flacco is 34-13 vs. all other teams in his career (regular season and postseason). Pittsburgh's defense sacked Flacco 10 times in last season's three meetings, including nine times in the final two games. In three September home games in 2009 and 2010, Flacco had a 3-0 record with seven touchdown passes, one interception, and a 110.3 rating.

Love the trend and thanks for posting.

I love Baltimore dropping the small number. It has everything I look for in a game.

From a math standpoint, the Steelers are due for a correction with the way Ben has won against the Ravens.

From a line move and a consensus position I have the the numbers in my favor and finally

from a football standpoint or X's and O's I have the Ravens who can expose a suspect Steelers secondary and the home field and now with this post, I have the trends.

Thanks and good luck,
