After the absolute a$$ kicking I took the last few days, I don't feel qualified to give opinions on the next round. So--I thought I'd tell you about an interesting pool (using lines) going on around the office. And really, it's not too late to do it if you limit your self to the Sweet 16. Here it goes..
Put all the teams (or remaining teams) in a hat. Every entrant yanks a team, or is assigned a team. If your team covers the number, you advance to the next round---even if they lose!! If your team wins outright, but doesn't cover--you are out!!!
Here's how it works...let's say you draw Monmouth, and they play Duke in the 1st Round. If Monmouth covers, you advance to the next round. But--since they lost outright, you take over Duke as your team. The guy that had Duke originally is out, because his team did not cover. So, you could legitimately lose every game outright...but still keep advancing and win the whole thing!! Now that we are down to the Sweet 16, it only takes 16 entrants to pull it off--maybe just up the ante a little.
