I post this because a year and a half ago a triple murder in Madison, WI (Verona) made international news. Consistently rated one of America's "safest" towns, this type of thing just doesn't happen in Madison. The motivation for murder was sports betting. I have been following Madjack's for years, though I don't post anymore. I had been following the case very closely, simply because I was fascinated by all that was going on: Court TV, Henry Lee (testified for OJ), offshore sports gambling (Olympic), high stakes bets ($17,000; $100,000 losses), and among the least likely players (19 year old college kids attending a world class university). I know this forum is popular at the University of Wisconsin, as I have personally seen it in the location bar of several lab computers especially on game days. I can't help but to wonder if I have ever crossed paths with this guy or any of the victims. Rumor has it, and I have no way of confirming this, that at least one of these individuals was a regular here at one time. Read if you have time. It's unfortunate, and really paints a black eye on what many of us believe is an innocent hobby.
