Hi Jackie boy, how's your popcorn? ;)

Abortion is always a touchy subject; my thoughts are... that if a woman can have an abortion and it's "ok" ...why is it murder for the father to take control? He probably could have gone about it in a better way..but my reaction to this was shock-the punishment doesn't seem to fit the crime, especially since she was only a month and a half along. Anywho, thought it was an eye catching article, and was curious to others' thoughts and opinions. Cheers!

Wow-just wow- I had to read that twice to see if I read it all correctly.

Why would she take his word for it saying she had a bacterial infection? I don't take anyone's word except the dr or the nurse. A few years ago I had precancerous cells during my yearly visit and when I called in for my results the dr was busy and the receptionist gave me my "results". She read my results WRONG which lead to me being and emotional wreck for two weeks before my follow up appt, and when I went for my follow up and the dr and I were discussing the results, I told him what she had told me and he went out and fired her on the spot. I never cried so many tears of happiness in a drs office. lol Apparently office protocol is that they were told to NEVER interpret and give test results and she did. That only the drs and nurses could give results.

Why would she let him get her a prescription? Regardless of not having insurance. I wouldn't take any pills unless I knew what they were.

Especially if he was dead set on her not having the baby. I wouldn't care if the dr was his dad or not. The other question is did he really steal a prescription pad and forge his dads name or did the dad have a hand in it too so the son wasn't trapped into parenthood?

If she told him she would raise the baby on her own all he had to do was get paperwork signed that he was giving up his parental rights and he wouldn't owe her anything or be responsible for anything. Now he has himself in a shit pile of trouble.

Most drs offices around here call our prescriptions in because of fraud and we live in a small town. If they don't call them in they are electronically signed so they can't be forged. I haven't had a dr "sign" a prescription in years.

We had a customer that got charged with abuse of an unborn child because she was driving at a high rate of speed and wrecked her car.

It amazes me at how many stupid things people so when it comes to things like this. What if something would have gone wrong during the miscarriage and she had died too? Senseless acts are what they are.
