I got so much fawkin time on my hands.....
:D

this little experiment is called "me and soccerbot".

Soccerbot likes to predict the outcome of soccer matches...we'll keep track of these for a few weeks....

SOCCERBOT's picks for dec 26th.
ENGLISH PREMIER:

we'll just track soccerbot picking ties....too much handicapping i'm doin as it is...!!

west ham DRAW
EVERTON DRAW
MAN U DRAW
LEEDS DRAW

me?

i'm gonna pare down my picks a bit:

1) Arsenal to WIN = X 1.57
2) Man Utd to WIN =X 1.83

we'll parlay the two:

50 bucks down X 2.87 = $143.50

hopefully this'll get us some extra gas money....

FYI:

well the way that i see it...there are MANY different soccer leagues with really good top 3 teams....

why not parlay those teams with good records and see where this goes????

i'm sure this is NOT a new concept, and like i said, i need the gas and grocery money....
;)

1) Rangers x 1.22 to win

taken from a website:

SCOTTISH FOOTBALL TIPS Boxing Day Tip's

Celtic v Hearts
Too obvious to go into detail about, Hearts are third and Celtic are Second but there is still not much competition as most people know.

Home win (1.16) -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dundee v Aberdeen
Dundee are a very strong side at home and sometimes even give the old firm a hard time when they visit. Aberdeen's new boss has lost one and drew one so far since taking over a fortnight ago.

A draw (3.25)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dunfermline v Kilmarnock
The Pars have won there last two home games with convincing scorelines. But Kilmarnock have won there last four matches and looks on good form, maybe a share of points is the best option.

A draw (3.30) -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hibernian v Partick
After stretching there good form home at the weekend Partick played fantastic against Rangers and it's just a pity the game ended the way it did after playing some good stuff. Hibernian are also coming back from a defeat from Killie and should win.

Home win (1.72) -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Livingston v Dundee United
Dundee United have not won any of there last six games which is poor. Livingston's recent home record is nothing to boast about either but I think a boring draw is the most likely occurrence.

A draw (3.20) -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Motherwell v Rangers
Rangers are still with a few injured played but still they should sweep aside Motherwell and collect three points and stay four points ahead of Celtic.

Away win (1.22)

here's some more:

ENGLISH FOOTBALL TIPS Boxing Day Tip's

Chelsea v Southampton
The London side are truly on fantastic form for Christmas and look to keep it up at home to Southampton...How will it turn out then..?

Chelsea have been on cloud nine in recent weeks and haven't conceded a goal at home since late September. Chelsea also haven't lost a match since there 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at the beginning of October and have swept a lot of teams aside to gain second place in the league. Southampton have also been on a good run of play since they beat Arsenal 3-2 in late November and sit in a respectful seventh place in the league. I can't see another result in this one.....

Home win (1.44) -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tottenham v Charlton
Charlton have drew there last two fixtures against Man City at home and Birmingham away. Tottenham play this fixture fresh from there London derby against Arsenal were it finished 1-1 and a share of the points here would be the best bet I think.

Home win (1.66)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

West Ham v Fulham
West Ham are bottom for Christmas and have still failed to win at home all season. David James has said that West Ham will become the first Premiership team to escape relegation after being bottom at Christmas. Fulham have not won an away match since the middle of September and West Ham could capitalize on that and get there first home win all season.

Home win (2.25)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bolton v Newcastle
Sir Bobby's men are on excellent form and I cannot see any other result. Back the toon army all the way here...

Away win (2.10) -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

West Brom v Arsenal
I don't honestly think the Brom really have much chance at stoping mighty Arsenal in there bid to stay top of the Premiership. Arsenal won 5-2 at Highbury the last time the sides met in August and West Brom are currently 18th and favourites for relegation.

Away win (1.57) -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Manchester City v Aston Villa
The Maine Road side are evens to get all three points in this match and they have a great chance to do so. With Man City scoring well in there last four fixtures they should be too much for Villa at home.

Home win (2.00) -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Birmingham v Everton
I watched the Merseyside derby where Everton held on for a 0-0 draw and had some excellent spells in the match. Young Wayne Rooney shone yet again and came very close to scoring in the match. Birmingham have drew there last two home games and I think they can be strong enough to hold Everton at home for a share of the points.

A draw (3.10) -
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Liverpool v Blackburn
Most people thought that if Liverpool beat Everton in the Merseyside derby they would get there good form back, but they didn't. Blackburn managed to end Man United's eight match winning run on Sunday with a goal from Garry Flitcroft to seal the victory. I don't feel confident enough back Liverpool at a shocking 1.61, but instead have a flutter on a strong Blackburn side at 5.00, great odds in my opinion.

Away win (5.00)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunderland v Leeds
Both sides sit beside each other in the table and it looks like Sunderland have finally found out how to score goals. Both these teams drew at the weekend but Sunderland with the better fight back and could cause further upset for Venables.

Home win (2.50) - --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Middlesboro v Man United
The home side still have not lost at home all season and now they face the mighty Man United. Alex Ferguson states that the teams failure against Blackburn was due to missed chances and he's probably right. Middlesboro always seem to score at home and Fergie knows he must match them to keep up the title race on Arsenal, very tough indeed.

Home win (3.75)

"...Quo fas et gloria ducunt..."
PART 3 of today's lesson in betting soccer 101 :

i've had another idea:
tracking the books and how close their lines are :

apparently S.I.A likes all games to end in 1 - 1 draws for 6.50 each.....yeah, right, like THAT's gonna happen.

i think an interessting number to look at is the difference between the odds in the 3-1/ 2-1 correctly predicting the score.

Wow, you really do have to much time on your hands. My thoughts on Boxing Day; One of these Premiership heavy favs are going to end up in a draw to screw up a nice parlay so I'll pass . I'm gonna stick with the red-hot teams of Cardiff +138 and Leicester -138. Bristol Rovers are a great price at +225 and Port Vale can't win anymore so Wigan at +100 is the bet. One other point is that Crewe is also redhot and +120 must be worth something.

holy fawk, two HUGE upsets.

MAN U loses on the road....but was it really a surprise?

It was the third time McClaren has turned the tables on former boss Sir Alex Ferguson since leaving Old Trafford for the north-east two summers ago, and preserved an unbeaten home run of 11 matches this season.

again, stay away from faves during the holidays!!!!

Well, my 3-2 made for a profitable day. I am glad I stayed off the premier games looking at the scores now.
See you Saturday.
