Investment company suggestions?

Does anyone have any suggestions on who to use for an investment account my wife and I are wanting to get started with? Initial deposit will be approx 10k, with primarily investing in mutual funds. First glance, TD ameritrade appears to be solid for what we are starting with.

Any comments on them or others?

It all comes down to fees. Vanguards mutual funds have the lowest fees in the business. Buy one of their Target Retirement Funds based on your age. Set it and forget it. Buy and hold, that's the key.
