Iowa advances sportsbetting legislation

Hard Rock Cafe here in Sioux City is really excited about this. If they do it right, it will be a gold mine.

That?s a big IF, but stranger things have happened.
And yeah, the casinos over here on the Mississippi are excited, too.
The casino in Rock Island and all the bars that offer video poker in a non-smoking environment are taking lots of business from the Iowa side casinos so anything they can do to get some of that action back they are for.
I like the idea that all I?ll have to do is go once to the casino in Clinton, set up an account, deposit some money then use an app on my phone from home or anywhere else in the state to bet a game.
I?m a non-smoker and the only casinos I?ll set foot in that allow smoking are in Nevada so not having to be physically present to make a bet is a huge plus for me.
I have a feeling they?ll deal some shitty lines to help pay the taxes on the bets so it may not be a good thing they legalize it, but time will give us the answers.
