That one had me wondering to Hawkeye; Indiana ranked 17 in total offense but Iowa ranked 6 in total defense. However, Indiana's offense ranking gotten against an average opponents total defensive ranking of 86; now they face #6 ranked total defense. Then again Iowa's #6 defensive ranking was gotten agains an average opponents offensive ranking of 102, and their facing #17 in total offense. Should be an interesting game.

Add in the fact that iu defense sucks which will lead to long sustained drives for Iowa keeping iu offense on the sidelines.

I'm not sure even with Indiana's crappy defense that iowa can sustain drives. Rudock is again the starter after recovering from a hip problem but beathard is going to see snaps, too.
I played the over in this game @ 55.5 yesterday and see that it's gone up to 56 today.
Iowa is on paper saying they are preparing for a track meet which does not bode well for an Iowa win.
Ferentz doesn't have the athletes to stop Indiana's offense if they get it in gear. I'm betting they do and that Iowa will get plenty of their own points.
Forecast for Homecoming in Iowa City is upper 50s, no chance of rain and little or no wind.
Perfect fall day to play some football. :toast:

Iowa is absolutely horrendous ATS at Kinnick going 4-13 ATS their last 17 home games. Obviously when you're not even covering 25% of your home games your last 17, this is a major problem. Indiana has a solid offense and horrible defense, but I still would have a tough time not laying a FG with the home team. However, my guess is this number will rise and then provide Indiana some value again.
