this seems to be the flavor of the day game...nebraska coming off a embarassing loss vs. a good penn state team...iowa state has had some decent opposition ....the line has moved to the huskers minus 1 at my locals ....both defenses seem to be susceptible to each teams offensive strengths ....im leaning toeards the over big time in this one....any thoughts???...cooz

Glad you put this up. Cut and pasted from Mizer's thread...........

Wouldn't really call myself a college foots capper, still trying to learn the ropes. But really like Nebraska at pk, prob my big play of the day.

IaSt a staggering 0-30 last 30 vs ranked opponents, 0-9 last 9 vs Neb.
Neb has always been a power running foots team, and ISU is weak at rush D.
Weather calls for scattered showers by game time, may become a factor since ISU depends their passing game heck of a lot more.
2 weeks for Neb to prepare for this game after the wake up call at PennSt, one of the loudest stadium in college foots. So going into ISU actually should be a step down in terms of crowd factor.

i see your points DUBS.... but nebraska on the road is shaky...look at what iowa is doing to penn state right now...17-0..its early but im not sure penn state is that good ..it could be nebraska simply isnt that good...cooz

Definitely agree this Neb team seems the weakest in a long time. Another thing I looked at is that ISU seems to keep digging themselves into a big hole early, and if that's the case, Neb won't have to rely on passing at all, just keep optioning ISU to death with their power running. ISU can't expect to fall behind early all the time and make huge comebacks game after game.

Also rumors are that Seneca Wallace is recovering from a cold, but I'm not putting that into consideration.

Neb can't afford to lose another game, but ISU has big time revenge on their mind.

Having 2 weeks for the Huskers to get their act straight is a big factor for me, even though the Huskers are much weaker on the road.

Nebraska is NOT Nebraska of old....They do NOT have the guys in the trenches anymore.....Their O-Line is Horrid......

Penn State is very mediocre...much worse than Iowa State.....i don't see how you could play Nebraska here......

nebraska will come out and run the ball, and once they establish their running game, it is going to be a long day for ISU. Nebraska should win this game, plus they have had 2 weeks to prepair, so there D should be ready.

hey Magic01.....you have FRANK SOLICH as a coach.......this "2 weeks to prepare" stuff you have been talking about -- well, how has 2 weeks to prepare been in the past for Solich.....especially when they are away from Lincoln against a good team......

also.....Nebraska does not have the 0-Line to just run over teams.....their 0-Line sux....Iowa State will jam the box and when Lord starts to throw, the rout will be on......

get used to it folks....the Cornhuskers are going downhill and will soon be getting regular ass kickings Husker fans are accustomed to giving......
