today's headscratcher has iowa laying a point in lincoln while my power numbers make the huskers 4.5 point favorites. lots of moving parts here as both of these teams have been in freefall lately, tim miles is on his way out at nebraska, and the huskers evidently will be down 3 players today:

meanwhile iowa has dropped 4 of their last 5 and are wondering just how low their seed number may fall. also senior day in lincoln and a sellout crowd expected.

so the theory at work on these plays is that, when linesmakers have to make these adjustments from the expected numbers, they usually underadjust, and that puts me on iowa -1.

hawkeye, redsfann, feel free to jump in here and straighten me out.

I have bet on or against Iowa 3 times all year. All W's. Not a fan of the retard coach. That said, On the brink of Big 10 tourney and NCAA they need something to click. McAngry has missed last couple games. We'll see if they all put a cohesive effort in today.

Like the hawks today.

Would be a good time to unload McCaffery and Barta. My 2 cents

If Nebraska should win it is because "they are M-Fkin Cheaters"

I think that's the way he calls the L's :popcorn2

IF the Hawks lose in first round at Big 10-- they should get a 3-4 seed -- in the NIT :0corn

Couldn?t agree more about these two idiots. And if I had my way, they would share a ride out out of town with ferentz.

Explain choke to me seems you take away from the effort by Nebraska. They made 10 straight shots 5 contested 3 point shots with under a minute in regulation. A 17% free throw shooter is perfect. 1 team overperformed, outhustled and got the game to overtime with all the momentum and confidence at home. I had iowa and it was a tough loss but hats off to Nebraska.

you're right of course schleprock. i watched the end of the game and couldn't believ how many shots they hit in a row down the stretch, and many well contested. dud think that iowa did a poor job in shrinking the number of possessions in the last few minutes, but kudos to the huskers.

at least smu held on.
