I am thinking about getting an iPod touch now that it has the new Apps.
I am a college student and on campus there is a VPN Client required to "sign on" to the internet.
I know Apple does not premit 3rd party software on their products as of yet.

So my question is:
Would it be impossible for me to "sign on" to the WiFi on the iPod touch via the Cisco Systems VPN Client?

And further-If you have an iPod touch, any reviews?
-By the way if you bought one earlier this year, you are now able to upgrade to the new Apps they are offering via their website for 20 bucks or so I think.

Thanks.

It's one thing to be able to technically connect to a wireless router. It's a different thing to be able to use that connection to visit the web sites you want to get to.

Depending on your environment, this can be a very significant problem. For example, university campuses are increasingly using VPN as a mean to secure their wireless networks. If you are on one of those campuses, you need to VPN in order to be able to get on the network. Of these folks, no VPN = no network access.

So nope not right now, sounds like only the iphone can
