I see there back to killing by the 100's again. It's starting to really show no matter what we do. Or how long we stay nothing changes.

DJV, since you see in tunnelvision, the reason it "shows" is because the American media is liberal biased and they can't stand Bush. Therefore they will only show you negative news about Iraq. see how elementary it is? (I made it simple so you could understand)

Al Queda doesn't like the idea of a democracy taking place do they? Sucks for them huh? Remember all the bombing leading up to the elections? No matter what, these terrorists will be rooted out. Things take time. To expect to turn a terrorist nation into a democracy in less than 3 years is a pipedream. War is hell isn't it?

The liberals can keep glorifying death all they want. I know people who are there in Iraq and they paint a totally different picture of Iraq than the liberal media does. The liberal media only shows the BAD stuff that goes on. Now you're doing it djv. Advertisng war death counts? Way to support your country!!! You are a true American aren't you?

Everytime the media talks negative about Iraq it only empowers the terrorists, but they don't care if they embolden the enemy. To the media, an anti-Bush political agenda is more important than helping protect the troops.

When Democrat Dick Durbin refered to our troops as Nazis, it was broadcast on Al Jezerra......what does that tell you???

"I see there back to killing by the 100's again. It's starting to really show no matter what we do. Or how long we stay nothing changes."

Which side are you talking about??? I assume since you watch CNN and they only report one side you mean the terrorist killing 100's--you need to clarify--believe it are not there are some pulling for the Iraqi's and could have derived your post as positive ;)

Operation Restoring Rights is being conducted to remove terrorists and foreign fighters operating in Tal Afar," Col. Billy J. Buckner (search), a military spokesman, said Sunday. "This operation is in support of the Iraqi government's efforts to bring safety and security to the citizens of the city."

Buckner said that Iraqi and U.S. troops had captured 211 terror suspects, killed 141 terrorists and confiscated nine weapons caches since Aug.26
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Lynch said the joint force killed 145 insurgents and captured 361 in the second operation in a year to rid Tal Afar of militants, including foreign fighters crossing from Syria.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The assault on Haditha (search) followed a recent offensive to retake Tal Afar (search), another northern town, which U.S. commanders said netted more than 400 suspected militants. The Iraqi military said its troops had detained 36 others, including a Yemeni citizen, just south of Tal Afar
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
the above are just afew that happened lately that would have escaped one viewing only liberal media.

Seriously DJV you need to put your channel on Fox--you can get both sides

Manson, just to see if you know the answer and are capable of doing this, let's try a little excersize.

Answer with just yes or no, anything other than that provides further proof that you are a moron.

Have we had roughly 2000 soldiers killed in this effort?

Um...earth to Penguin...that's why it's called war lol. What do you expect?

Yes we have lost 2,000 troops. Who killed them?? Terrorists. Al Zarqawi's Al Queda in Iraq. The people you want to surrender to!!!

What's your point? That we've been fighting this war for almost 3 years and we have the lowest troop death rate of any war we've been involved in?

A better question Penguin is how many innocent people has Bush liberated from terrorist governments in the middle East??

FIFTY MILLION

Live in denial. Stay on the wrong side of history. Glorify American deaths and ignore the democracy and freedom taking place. It's the liberal thing to do. KEEP IT UP!! Makes you liberals look terrible and it keeps you on the outside looking in.

The terrorists and insurgents don't give a damn about what the newspapers print, they have thier own agenda and don't need to read the newspaper or turn on the tv....some people act as though the media is a pep rally for all the evil dudes over there.

They aren't blowing everybody up just to see thier name in the newspaper, they have a goal and would have that if there was NO reporting whatsoever....

If you read up on the works of associate professor Robert Pape, who has studied suicide bombings and thier causes and come to the informed conclusion that the majority of the suicide bombers are acting because of the occupation and the fact that we are there....combined with our support for Israel and thier reverance for land they consider holy....

Rather ludicrous that anyone can come to the conclusion that democracy is established there when bombs are shredding hundreds there with no end in sight....call it "liberation" if you want... :mj14:

"The terrorists and insurgents don't give a damn about what the newspapers print,"

one of the most false statements ever--if that was the case do you really think they would be releasing all the video's of chopping heads-propaganda ect.

It is part of their method of instilling terror in the weak. They have munipulated Alzeera/NYT to the hilt. Don't think the 32 straight days of prison front page press wasn't their greatest recruiting tool of all time. As their fatah says they are counting on the weak to not have stomach for it.

On your suicide bomber theory --you best be worried where the next generation comes from---most are people with no hope and anti establishment orientation--thats from Professor DTB school of logic.
If you don't think there is BIG movement in our prison systems and gangs on the street-- your going to in for a rude awakening.

"The estimated 5-7 million Muslims in the U.S. include both immigrants and those born in America (three-quarters of whom are African-Americans). "

--front page coverage of prison abuse
Al-Gazeera 34 days
NYT 33 days
LA Times 28 days
--are you beginning to see the light?????????

As predicted, a one word answer was impossible for you.

The point of the question was simple, to see if you were aware of the American death toll, by reading your posts it is awfully hard to tell.

I'm not sure if they get many papers in Iraq. I guess they can walk down to the cigar store and pick one up. Home delivery way to dangerous.

So if there was no media they'd drop all thier fanatical agendas and devout religious guidance and the word terrorism could be erased from the dictionary?

Call it whatever you want...."liberation"....."democracy".....best case scenario for the outcome of Iraq is an Islamic state is created, they consult the Koran for simple matters that could otherwise be handled with practicality, and we watch a powder keg of a country hoping the next coup doesn't see the next Muslim John Gotti takeover.....

If they're going to have anything less than a civil war over there when we leave, then I'll have to see it with my own eyes because I fully realize the history of the region and the hold religion has on the people there......as long as religion is trump over there nothing will change.

We lost over 40 good soldiers again this month. As this drags on it does look to have no real end to it. However the light at the end of the tunnel is 06 elections. I do believe that may help us get out sooner and save some lives. Then we can be in better position to deal with the real issue. Iran and maybe Korea. Al tho it does look like there trying to buy Korea off with a aid package. We shall see.

I see our General Meyer to day admitted there down to one Iraq battalion. Seems the other two just never got up and running. Starting to look like these folks are scared to step forward and protect there families and country. We should not be surprised by this. There so called army cut and ran when we first invaded Iraq. If they don't have the cuts to defend them self's. Maybe we should let them find out the hard way and pull out. By the way for those of you who don't know a battalion in most case is less then 10000 people.

I think you mean 'division,' DJV. A battalion is about 600 troops. And if that's all we have trained by now, whether it's 10,000 or 600, then that's sad and this will be neverending.

"How would you feel if the Iraqi army invaded and conquered the US? That's how the Iraqis feel about our troops."

How do you feel When Sheehan and her liberal co-harts call the real opposition freedom fighters???

As in Viet Nam you'll find the population and U.S. troops has a lot more courage and makes many more sacrifices than the war protestors--I doubt anyone can question that.

BALAD, Iraq (Reuters) - Car bombs have killed more than 110 people, 25 of them children, in a surge of violence in Iraq ahead of an October 15 referendum on a new constitution.

One of the four car bombs ripped through a crowded market in the southern town of Hilla killing at least 12 people and wounding 47 on Friday, police and health officials said.

In the mainly Shi'ite town of Balad, north of Baghdad, the death toll from three huge car bombs on Thursday rose to 98 on Friday, hospital director Kassim Aboud said.

Furious residents in Balad blamed the attacks on "foreign fighters," long accused by the U.S. military of infiltrating Iraq from Syria to carry out attacks across the country.

"What have those Jordanians and Palestinians and Saudis got to do with us? Shame on them!" Abu Waleed, a hotel owner in Balad who said seven people staying in his hotel died in the blasts, shouted angrily.

"Why is this happening? This is a criminal act and the constitution is going to succeed in spite of them," he cried.

Outside a hospital a doctor, Dawoud Allam, posted lists of the dead and the 119 wounded on a wall. Of the dead, 25 were children under 15, while 14 could not be identified, he said.

Crowds voiced their defiance by chanting: "With our souls, with our blood, we sacrifice ourselves for the constitution."

---yep and "part" of U.S. will be right with you--
