It just seems to me that everyone likes West Virginia. They may be the better team, but as we all know, when everyone is on one side, the bookie/casino usually wins. So, does anyone like Louisville tonight for more than a reason of just playing at home? Let me know.

Any thought on the Total????

I like them because I like the idea if they get out to a 10 or 14 point lead...Pat White will not be able to pass the ball effectively enough to come back.

But WVa's defense is so bad that if Louisville is down 10 or 14, then can come back.

Def not a "big play" game, but Louisville isn't that crazy of a pick, esp. considering that everyone is on WVa...

I'm leaning to UL. Revenge for last year, at home with a fired up crowd and a lot to prove. I think the emotion will carry them in this one.

Thinking about taking under 57?

WV did come back down 17 to Louisville last year to take the game to OT where they eventually won...Slaton had 5 td's in that game....2 in overtime...

Good point about the D...that to.

The only thing that concerns me is there past performances against mobile QB's...It seems like their DLine is geared toward pocket passers, as they got lit up against Va Tech with Vick last year...and lost to So Florida with awful Julimiste taking the snaps. (Granted those QB's arent the only reasons, but still)

QB's that can avoid the rush (not necessarity scramble for yards, as Vick only had 13 yards rushing in the bowl game)...give Louisville problems.

But I guess you can say that for most teams, however.

Louisville offense averages 496 yards of offense per game and their defense allows only 75 ypg rushing

Tough game to be very confident betting either the side or the total. One thing I just saw watching cold pizza.... In a poll on who will win tonight's game, EVERY SINGLE US STATE has picked WV with the loan exception being Kentucky. Only the Homers think the Cardinals have a chance to win tonight. Think of all the money the books will make tonight if L-ville wins....

It should be over looked. @ Syracuse allowed : 18 first downs, 7 of 16 on 3rd, 1 of 2 on 4th, total yrds 322, Patterson passed for 303 yrds, I know these are only stats but this did not look like a shut down top 10 (D) . Syracuse held the ball for 30 mins. Have not decided on a side yet but the one thing that stuck with me about Lou is, they are not going to win big games because of their (D). Soft team on (D). Maybe it was a let down game for them but big time (D)'s don't show up soft. EDGE TO Wv on (D).

I think holding Miami to 7 points is pretty worthy. There is something to be said in college football for playing up or down to the competition

I might make a play on over/under or a second half bet on this game. But I don't see this being a game where either team has much of an edge.

Two highly ranked defenses that everyone thinks are gabage(me included) trying to stop two very good offenses. Lousivlille didn't hold Miami to anything, Miami killed themselves that game and they are a shell of their previous self anyway. And WV hasnt played anyone this year so how do we know they are "playing down" to their level of competition?

The stats are so close on these two, I just don' know how you can love one side or the other tonight. Looks to me like it is gut feeling for almost everyone betting on this game. Every arguement or angle I have heard one could make an arguement against it so GL with whatever side you guys choose. Just thought I would say all that to say......... I LIKE WV lol

I was referring to Louisville. They played up to Miami and K-State on defense and played down to Cincy and Syracuse. Happens all the time in college foots.

L-ville "D" will show up tonite

If that was 2 or 3 yrs ago fine, even last yr but, this Miami team is on A slide. Look for V tech to win and cover Sat. Hou held them to 14 & Duke allowed 20 ??????? The Cards may be the right side but holding this Miami team to 7 is no big deal.

I don't disagree that Miami has slipped a bit, but they are still very talented and they do average 23.4 ppg. I still think that holding the Canes to a single touchdown is somewhat impressive.

Although Miami only scored 14 against Houston, they did rack up 420 yards of offense in that game. They put up 23 on the road against a pretty decent defense last week at Georgia Tech. They were also -3 in turnovers against the Yellow Jackets so that didn't help their scoring. And the Duke game was after their brawl with FIU and they were minus some players due to suspension. Not really an excuse when playing Duke but I'm sure it was somwhat of a contributing factor.

Just a few points supporting that maybe L-ville holding the Canes to a single touchdown is slightly worthy.

whats your point?

Are Miami and K-State not big name programs as opposed to Cincy and Syracuse? Alright, maybe not K-State this year but do you really not see my point?

just my opinion, but stats are totally meaningless when capping this game. wvu has certainly looked like the better team the last few weeks but none of that means jacksh*t, especially when capping college football (see vtech & clemson lw). tough call here, one team has a size advantange on both O & D line & REVENGE, the other team has two explosive runners & a spread offense.... flip a coin but gotta lean toward the home team
